I stayed and trained with Gunde in Dalarna, Swe. in the summer of '84 for a couple of weeks and trained with Thomas Wassberg outside of Goteborg and Olso Nordmarka. Gunde was the funniest, fun loving athlete I ever met and Thomas the most intense in training, an animal. Funny story about Gunde, moments after winning men's 50k in Sarajevo, Gunde's mother asked him on live TV if he was changing his underpants regularly. Really sweet, innocent woman. Gunde is a race car nut, still a national hero in Sweden.

Proud to be from Calgary, and to have been alive for the olympics (albeit I was only 10 months).

So müssen Olympische Spiele sein. Emotionen, Zuschauer und nicht, wie jetzt in China, steril.

sorry leave politics out of olympics, period, i am a cuban, i live in the usa, i did not see teofilo stevenson in moscow, i was pissed, leave politics out, every day some country has a conflict with another, the olympics spirit is bigger than politics

i have seen teofilo stevens compete he was great i love the the upset that happened in Montreal 100 & 200 metres Cuba won the gold medal Castro called for a national holiday. pan am games 1979 pureto rico men's basketball they beat us so we had to beat Brazil now if Cuba beat Argentina we would have won the bronze but Argentina won so we were out of the medals. remember ddr wildmar zerpinsky won the the Marathon USA silver very exciting
