    I’m a sx type 4 and once had a friend who was a type 2. When he was unbalanced I found myself getting triggered - maybe because I noticed the same traits in myself under stress 😅

    I'm a 2 with 1 wing and I have had service type jobs. I have had health issues so I am not working now. I have been a hostess at a restaurant, I've sung in a praise team and choirs at church, worked in a music store in the mall, worked in an office supply store, teacher, real estate agent, legal secretary, runner, assistant to business manager and controller at a law office, receptionist, bookkeeper, tax season help at an accounting office, cashier in jewelry and shoes at a store, I did inspections in between tenants at a real estate office and I was the medical records, billing and insurance clerk at an outpatient surgery facility. Those were all service type jobs. I also love animals. I have 3 dogs now. I have always had dogs or cats. At one time I had 7. What you said describes me a lot. I am more the self preserving 2 since I am older. In health we look like a 4 and in stress we look like an 8. In that thought, I am more like the counter 4 and the quiet 8. Thank you for sharing!

    I'm definitely an INFP 2w1 sp. I thought I was enneagram 9, 4, 6, 7, 5, or one expressing severe trauma and mental illness and picking up their habits. It all stems from wanting to be loved conditionally, fit in with others to have a sense of belonging and accepted for who I am. My mother and many others abused and bullied me severe and I'm in therapy right now to heal and learn self compassion so I can thrive in life.

      I feel ya girl. I'm also an infp (or infj, can never tell for sure) and I have thought I was pretty much every number under the sun but ultimately my only reason for doing anything is to be loved and accepted and I genuinely LOVE helping others. I also have different mental health concerns that sometimes skews things and makes it all the more difficult to understand what is me and what is the illness. Keep working on your healing and I wish you all the best!

      @@katherine_marie12 Hi thanks so much. I actually went to a enneagram coach or expert for free and he broke down my true enneagram type for me. He said that I had all the traits of enneagram 9 including how I use the 3 intelligence centers. I'm glad this wraps up things for me. Overall I'm an INFP enneagram 9w1 sp. Trying to do more self care lately so I can become better equipped to help others! I’ve been finding it’s hard to actually focus on it instead of doing something that validates my worth in some way though. Trying to find ways to make it feel more fulfilling! Do you have any quick tips for that?

    I have a friend who is a 2w1, so I watched this to learn more about his type. I see a lot of this in him already! I was curious, would you say the 2's sensitivity to criticism is heightened if they have a stronger 1 wing vs a 3 wing? That's the one part of the list that surprised me a little, because I've always thought of that more as a 1 thing, but your reasoning makes sense for the 2.
    I enjoy your content btw - I'm a 1w9 and had to find your video on signs of a type 1 after this. It was spot on!

    • @enneagramandcoaching
      @enneagramandcoaching  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think the 1 & 3 wings both play into it. They both are very sensitive to criticism. The 1 is wanting to be good and it can go against that and the 3 wants to be the best and it can go against that.

    • @cmpicha2934
      @cmpicha2934 ปีที่แล้ว

      That also makes sense - I thought about that more later on. I also forgot to share the type of service jobs my type 2 friend has, and has had! He currently works full time at his church, but before that he was my boss (we're both meteorologists and at the time we were doing private sector type work serving clients). I know he worked at Walgreens before starting his weather career, so I guess that would count as another customer service job.

    I took my first enneagram test and got 98% type 2 and 96% type 1. I took it again at a later time and got 98% type 2 and 97% type 1. My type 4 was a 94% both times. They say online that you cannot be 2 enneagrams, but I don’t understand how type 2 and type 1 could be so close otherwise. I do not feel that I am truly a 2. A coworker said maybe I’m at a point that my personality is transitioning to something new? Is that a thing? Could I be a 2 turning into a 1? I don’t understand this 😂

    i am very obsessed with being loved and needed and wanted and stuff i love hugs and i impulsively help people when i feel like they need me and basically everything else you said which makes me think i’m a 2 but i don’t feel like i need to help people to be loved? i think the main way i try to make people love me etc is by improving myself? but it’s not about admiration or anything like 3 and i don’t relate to anything else 3 related :( can anyone tell anything about my enneagram type from this?

  • @pancakepancake3789
    @pancakepancake3789 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Out of all the types, I find the type 2s the most in denial about which type they are, because their own drives are so hidden from themselves.
    For instance, the type 2s I know are in total denial about wanting to be loved or wanted. They think OTHER people want to be loved and wanted, but they (as spiritually evolved people) don't need that from anyone. They deny wanting other people to need them, and believe their own motives for helping are just exceptionally altruistic.
    The type 2s get pretty triggered by the description of the type 2. They'd much prefer to think the Enneagram is just a bunch of hooey - people trying to put them in a "box," or they insist they're actually 9s. Anything but a 2.
    Just sayin,' because if you start out the video with, "Do you want to be loved, wanted or needed?" the biggest type 2's I know would all say, "Nope. Not me! See? Told you I'm not a type 2!"
    You need another way of getting at this unconscious, underlying desire without being direct if you want the type 2 to be open to and capable of finding herself in this description.

      Hahahahaha!! You had me pin down very well. Because of my insecurities and severe trauma and bullying from others, I was picking up all the traits of the other enneagram numbers like 9, 4, 6, 7, 5, and 1. I definitely going to therapy to heal all my wounds and to be more loving and compassionate towards myself especially being with a severely mentally ill and personality disordered mother growing up. I want to surround myself with loving, compassionate, supportive, and healthy people.

      @@pancakepancake3789 Hi. I actually went to an enneagram coach or expert and he broke down my true enneagram and traits so well. I'm actually an enneagram 9w1 sx. I thought I was in the heart triad but he told me that the gut center uses the heart and brain the most when it comes to the three intelligence brain center. I was showing the characteristics of most of the enneagram numbers with 3 and 8 the very least. I'm glad this clears and wraps up things for me and I don't have to keep questioning or doubting myself. I'm ready to be on my healing journey with my therapist.
