Great video! It’s nice to see a build that doesn’t cost $5K and your left nut, but can still run and is still a quality rifle. I enjoy watching you guys. Keep the content coming.
Love the 11.5 size. I'm running a BA 11.3 hanson and it is awesome. Absolute reliability with all ammo I have ever tried and accurate. It is also perfectly gassed and shoots super flat with a h2 buffer. With a 1-6 and a good zero, decent ammo, and understanding of balistics it is easily a 400+ yard gun.
My Truck Gun is a BCM RECCE-11 MCMR MK2 BFH with a Government profile barrel and a SureFire SOCOM SF3P. I'm BCM BCG and Ambidextrous MK2 CH. I have a SureFire SOCOM556 RC2 suppressor. The IR is a L3 Harris PEQ15 with a SureFire Mini Scout M340DFT with a DS00 both connected to a Unity Tactical Taps Synch pressure pad. The sights are Troy Industry HK-style backups and the Optic set up is an EOTECH EXPS2 Green with a G43 magnifier 3x. I keep going between this and a Elcan SpecterDR 1-4x32 with a Leupold Deltapoint Pro mounted piggyback. I run a SLR finger stop and some BCM rail panels. My Lower is a BCM pistol lower. With BCM Ambidextrous safety selector and a Geissele SSA-E trigger. I have a Troy Industry Ambidextrous Bolt Release and my sling is a BlueForce Gear Vickers 2-1 swivel sling connect to the cough cough something Tactical and running to the left side of the MLOK handguard. The magazines are Lancer L5AWM smoke translucent mags. I run 64gr Winchester Defender and Nosler 64gr Bonded JSP Defense Ammo through it with Winchester M855 62gr for training.
Check the post on your battery if you are getting flickering. The spring on the head may have mashed it. My batteries labeled keepower have this issue. The ones labeled modlite seem to have a more stout + post.
Man every time I see that rifle at classes I go to get my 6943 set up just like it Then I see the cost of the G43 alone. Then the unity risers for it and my XPS3. Then the pricing on shitty commercial LAM’s. Then I see another video and the cycle begins again.
Great video, thanx much. Why has the free float m-lok taken over the show? I prefer the older front sight base and (KAC) M4 RAS hand guards for strength and durability. But then I'm not carrying all the night vision laser stuff either. But I agree the 11.5 barrel is a sweet spot, especially with a can.
We will definitely be stuck in the schedule for the rest of this year, and we are working on next year schedule as well, and will be traveling all over the state
I’ve got an OG keymod magnesium rail. With their ELWF barrel. It’s crazy light and accurate but gets hot quick and I’m counting my days before I dent the rail 😂
Love the vid and would want more of the same series for other future or old builds! Unsure if I heard right but You shot the grooves out of the BA and they warrantied it? So the rifling was shot out of use and they sent you a new one? Like what solgw does? Damn if so! Also, is the cheek riser just there? From what I see I think you use it just as a piece near the jaw but not really digging your cheek or jaw bone on it as a 4th point of contact?
i think was a really good video but it would be cool to understand what makes this an urban blaster vs GP open terrain or jungle etc, like what techniques or tactics would make an 11.5 the preferred choice. mostly thinking situational like there was a scene fom the Children of Men at the end where they're in an urban environment. anyways, love your guys content keep it coming used to live Plant City myself
Interjecting my own opinion. I have two primary uppers for my SBR; a 10.3” with EXPS3, and a 13.7” with a TA31. Both are used for work and personal use. My 10.3” gets used more often for man tracking missions that sees me in the woods. Ranges tend to be close, and the shorter length helps with quietly maneuvering through undergrowth. Over 8 years and dozens of missions the farthest I’ve had a threat visible from me was under 60 meters. My 13.7” is more general purpose for road patrol and day to day use in the field. It is still handy enough for walking in tight woods, but the magnification and velocity boost over my 10.3” makes it more useful where I am seeing longer ranges on the highways and urban centers I find myself in, but it also helps in agricultural fields and other open rural areas. Being able to magnify a potential threat inside a vehicle at even 50 yards is immensely valuable and helps me be aware of what they are doing. Just my 2¢
Perfectly said it’s always good to have options as well as your longer upper will be for more distance and allow glass that will better complement the upper having a short upper is great for urban or real thick vegetation environments. Also when it comes to doing a lot of travel in vehicles it is extremely advantageous to have a shorter system.
Do y’all have any recommendations for more budget friendly belts, I want a wilder but 400 is a lot nowadays, I’m sure they are worth it. But just trying to build out a belt gets crazy
The Wilder belt is an incredible investment. Yes, it is pricey however, if you save your money it is definitely worth the investment I have had the same Wilder belt running it almost every single day and lasting for four years and is still holding up strong so if you think about it spending $400 for something you use for years upon years is an investment worth doing
Hey guys I’m about to start running my irregular defense 11.5 mid and was wondering if it would be worth it to run an A5 system or if there won’t be much of a difference between that and a regular carbine buffer system?
Typically wouldn’t do that with overt laser and light however, we would pre-activate the laser, then use the push button on the light to be able to have that combination if we needed it
Whatever is the cheapest that you can find that is also a reputable brand we mostly run mag tech, but whatever is cheap understand if you shoot remanufactured ammo, you are taking a slight risk.
We are now going to be going full-time training and will be traveling and bringing Courses to different ranges that will have us as well as creating more Content for the channel
Not necessarily the upper, unless the gas port size is smaller and reliably sized. But the key will be your lowere and the magic inside, as well as type of muzzle device/ suppressor
@@mikebrown4433 if you have a gas port, that is sized smaller, that will allow less gas in the tube which will allow for softer felt recoil. However, the issue will be reliability. If you do not have enough gas going through the gas port, most guns are over gas which allows more gas than necessary to go through the Gasport and into the gas tube and in return speed up the bolt carrier group in the upper receiver, which means slowing down something that’s moving faster cause more energy to recoil back into the buffer. Most fixes for over gas guns will be a heavy buffer and heavier spring to slow down the speed of the bolt carrier group, which intern will be softer, felt recoil.
Like the rifle breakdown videos. I was subscribed for a bit - but just some feedback. I know content is content...but that many videos kinda turned me off. I'll keep swinging by here though.
That is a great question, and we talk in depth about that in our Ghost Fighter, Night Vision, Alpha, and bravo class you should definitely come out and train with us. It would be awesome and it’s also a good time
Yeah you right … SOCOM only put in YEARS of testing and MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of dollars behind the Individual Combat Carbine and/or URGI programs and due to the data driven results they, the FBI HRT Teams ((and a few other .Gov Teams)) have decided to procure and standardize the 11.5 inch and 14.5 inch mid length gas system Carbines and uppers ((URGI’s)) because they have shown by far to have the best ballistics and performance options. The main difference between your videos and other creators with great cinematic intros is that I actually stick around for the whole video.
🤩🤩🤩
