We’ve been to Savannah 3 or 4 times and we’re leaving for there tomorrow! We’ll be spending 2 months there. We love the Owens Thomas house, riding the trolley, strolling the squares and admiring all the beautiful old homes, and checking out the shops on River street. We always buy too much candy at the candy shops and Leopolds is a must stop for us.
I've been to Savannah twice and definitely going back. I fell in love with the city. It's hauntingly beautiful. The first time we stayed at the Marshall House. It's wonderful with loads of history. Second time we went more modern with Homewood Suites on the river. Both locations are within walking distance to everything. My favorite locations were Bonaventure Cemetery and Colonial Park Cemetery. The Prohibition Museum is fun and unique. I highly recommend Shannon Scott Tours for those interested.
@@thetravelingstewarts The Marshall House was wonderful. I love the history of the hotel. The breakfast offerings were delicious. I love staying in the older local hotels over chains. We stayed on the fourth floor, but didn't experience any ghosts. I just discovered your videos today. I am now a subscriber.
@@TerriLucia I’m glad you had a wonderful stay there. Glad no ghosts messed with you either. 😆 Thanks so much for subscribing! We’re happy to have you!
I have NOT been to Savannah but based upon your vlog I definitely want to experience it. It appears to be a "mature" destination where you won't run into a lot of families with small children that could ruin your experience. Sounds nice. Maybe you visited during school hours
Great history lesson in this episode Love Savannah Georgia 🇬🇪 went there every winter playing gig in the winter to get away from the snow! Your content is great genuinely enjoy history videos.
Where did you guys stay? Somewhere not very expensive? I'm planning a visit this spring and prefer to spend money on food and tours than on lodging. Thanks.
Hello! We have family who lives in Savannah, so we stayed with them. Hotels in the North Historic District are going to be more affordable than near the river. You also could save some money if you stay a bit outside Savannah in places like Pooler.

It is such a beautiful city! Bonaventure Cemetery is lovely, too. How was your stay at the Marshall House?

It’s a beautiful city but there’s not a ton for kids to do there. We visited during Thanksgiving.

Thanks so much! Savannah is a wonderful place to go and escape the snow.
I went to Savannah in 7th grade, but that was a while ago....would love to go again!!
It’s such a timeless city! If you go back, it’ll probably seem somewhat familiar but there’s also so much to discover there.
OMG are you from the military base from Fort Stewart in Brian county south of Savannah?
We are not but what a coincidence!
