    Yep, especially this set, with such strong E-con traits and plenty of chances for optimal items throughout the game, being patient and realising what is an opportunity to do what is probably the biggest diff.

      and when u realize econ traits is 80% bait and interest is better

      Part of me doesn't like econ traits, they add so much high roll potential to the game I like a grind strongest board style game not 4 people chasing the godlike pay out .
      But I grant that is fun for a lot of people.

    im challenger (middle of the pack).. what helped me get out of grandmaster was just playing less flexible.. the less flex you play the less mistakes you make, i already know my game is a bot 4 if im not sure what im playing in the first stage or what i would like to play. Sometimes i know the game is already over in the first stage

      Could you elaborate? I can't quate understand your statement, how would you know what to play so early?

    • @p3archil313
      @p3archil313 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am just a plat player but I think the same way. I look at sheets for 4-5 tier 1 comps and then depending on the first items, augment and the enemy comps I decide/ force one comp. But it‘s in my case only enough for plat.

      @@pedromiranda1524 well if i have no upgrades i know that i will full open and try get astrals in for econ, if i have a board that can winstreak i will winstreak.. if you understand the strength of other peoples boards you will know if you can or not. Dont level to 4 every game, if your weak just stay on 3 and econ up.. i am almost always loss streaking. I play on twitch every now and again maybe i can explain better on there twitch/jacobitft is the name if you have any other questions

      this set has no comeback mechanics... Dragon are the worst, and early game is coinflippy. Icheck my profile, i have only 50 games since 7.0... Could not enjoy it.
      Eco trait into full dragon should not be the ideal way to play.

    • @DonBeuBeu
      @DonBeuBeu 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@polygoncoco I mean yeah, did you get astral eco or lagoon eaco early? gg top 4, oh you got true twos and winstreaked hard, gg top 4. Played since set 1 around diamond, and this is the first set i felt like i knew if it was a good game or not after krugs. Augments are fun but tbf the game has been widely imbalance by it. Then now they add heroic hero specifc augment ... that sound awfully like choosen (worst mechanic before dragon) . I don't know maybe I just got bored of the game

    Also ability to have insane amount of free time. Nobody in challenger has less than 300 hours played in a specific set

    • @sparks6177
      @sparks6177 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, time is the difference. They have time to settle for 4th place when they know they will be playing for 12 hours straight. A lot of players are looking at only going 1st or 2nd so they greed when in reality their spot dictates at best they are going 3rd and should just spike to get there.

    Idk I think positioning is a huge difference. You can easily lose 20hp a game, and go 6 instead of 1, to positioning mistakes if you just auto-pilot it.

    • @AGoodWobble
      @AGoodWobble 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah totally, positioning makes a big difference in having the HP to make better decisions. I was spectating my gold friend the other day and he went 7th or 8th and was like "ughhh this game is so bad", and after I asked if he wanted advice, I brought up some macro decisions that happened towards the end of the game (rolling down at weird times, leveling too early, not picking the right augment). But I was thinking about it more afterwards and realized that he had put himself in a bad spot much earlier by making lots of positioning mistakes throughout the game, so he was forced into that spot by having low HP when he shouldn't have.

    • @hotprints
      @hotprints 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      of course it makes a difference but i think what they are talking about master to challenger. anyone master level should know most obvious positioning things

  • @krash6951
    @krash6951 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    It's not about discipline or being baited by other lines, but knowing how to play your strongest and what works. I think positioning makes a huge difference. As you go up and up, positioning is what makes and breaks a fight. And since both players have strong boards, you actually need to position to the best you can to ween you some fights and have the advantage. It's important too to not get punished. Masters 0 LP players aren't even that good, I'd still say they're around diamond level. Once you get to GM you're getting the hang of the game a bit more and you're kind of like a mini challengers but challengers just have it all down. I think discipline is just a lazy word for not knowing how to play the game. There's spots where you need to make 10 and not do anything else cause it's correct, it's not really about discipline.

    master below 300lp is beyond trash got 2 accounts chal and GM and every time i do a climb im hardstuck plat, diamond is pretty easy but low masters across 2 accounts i have like 40% winrate 75%top 4. honestly low masters its like theyre all so confused about the game overthinking trying to be too smart. i know because ive watched vods back off when i was a masters player in fates and i watch myself and im like wow u were absolute trash and could not hear what the game was telling you. now im tilt free and always know what im playing for and setting realistic expectation i usually exceed. i want to be top 10 in europe and i will get there. i just need more game time. but 2 kids..... im lucky to be getting a game a day at the moment
