Breakfast out of a propane stove on the back of a truck, in the cold mountain air with a hot cup of coffee hits so much different. Probably one of the best things in the world. Better than any resturant. Also the food choice you made was literally perfect. People don't know how good making your own sausage patty is.
Mav, when you’re cooking potatoes if you salt the potatoes before you put them in the pan they will just draw moisture out when you’re cooking and they will be soggy. Don’t salt till after they are cooked to your crisp-liking.
@@sidebite2533 same reason you either salt a steak multiple hours before cooking (up to 24 hours), or right after cooking. NEVER within an hour of cooking. It will bring the moisture to the surface but not give it time to seep back into the meat. And when you grill it, it needs to be as dry on the outside as possible to get a nice sear or crisp. Any moisture still being drawn to the surface will cause the fire to give it a soggy cook.

There's a local place in Boulder (or Golden) that serves a mountain man breakfast and I think they have one or two more things in theirs. Their pancakes are huge too for a normal stack.

You started off in Arvada Colorado, and I think you cooked up west of Boulder on a road called Gold Hill, near a town called Jamestown. If I am wrong, you should definitely go check that out, used to live up there, very beautiful and some really cool mines up there and good fishing that not a lot know about. No phone calls never came back so I decided to go camping. You started off in Arvada Colorado, and I think you cooked up west of Boulder on a road called Gold Hill, near a town called Jamestown. If I am wrong, you should definitely go check that out, used to live up there, very beautiful and some really cool mines up there and good fishing that not a lot know about.
