Hi mate. About to pull the trigger on this and make a purchase. Just want some reassurance before I do lol. Is it still a good value helmet 1 year later? I was stuck between this and the Fox V1 but the fox is hard to get in the UK in Matte Black.
Have you tried to fit the inner liner of the 8.5/9.5 model in the 7.5? I am intereseted in the 7.5, but really like that ProFit liner. Would be awesome if you can confirm that.
Hello from Colombia, South America! Thank you very much for the 7.5 review. I'm thinking of buying it because of its features and its price (very competitive). You cleared up a couple of doubts for me: it does have a Double D zipper and its interior is removable for washing. Now my question to the experts: I want it for urban use, although I'm about to start working as a teacher in a rural area and almost 100% sure I'll have to ride on some trails and bridle paths... but my bike is an "underbone" haha. For now, it's easier to buy a good helmet than to change my bike for a "real" enduro. Would you recommend the 7.5 V23 for the use I plan to put it to? Thanks!
Man, that is so tough! They're both really good helmets. They are both very light, comfortable, and have great safety features. I've ridden in both and I'd be just as happy with either. Honestly, I'd just pick whichever one you think looks cooler. Or if you want some goggles, you get the 6.5 with the 9.5 which is a solid goggle. - Chase
I've ridden in the M5 but not the 7.5 so I don't know if I can give a good comparison. what I can say is that I did like the M5 and thought it was a good helmet for the price - Chase
@@rmatvmc Understanding this is an older question, but if anyone else is wondering... I have both. The main difference is that the Leatt helmets are plush! Really comfy. The M5 is sorta bare bones and not as plush. I much prefer the Leatt. The one con with the Leatt helmets is the visor is short and sits high, it's not very effective when riding into the sun. That's my only peeve with Leatt. Yes, the extension helps, but not enough! For safety, I would far prefer to be wearing the Leatt if my head hits the ground! The M5 is a good helmet, but I like Leatt better for comfort and sophistication of the safety features.
I’d say it’s more comparable to the m5 but honestly for the price now days it seems like $150 dollar hjc is gonna offer good protections compared to old helmets. Used to older helmets you had massive protection gains. Now the only difference it seems is weight venting and comfort. I didn’t love the alpinestar fit so I’m considering this helmet now
I can’t tell if the Ice color way is mint, orange, and navy blue or purple. Is the top and back of the Ice color way the same navy blue as the blue color way or is it more purple?
I ordered this helmet and noticed a hard plastic piece at my forehead. I could only feel it when I pushed on the front of the helmet but I was pretty certain if I face planted that plastic would meet my forehead. I returned it. Considering ordering a higher end model if I can confirm they don’t have the same thing going on.

What are the differences between the 7.5 and the GPX 5.5 ? Which one is a better buy?

Did you tried?
What about durability of 7.5 liner? Its breaked after 1 year?

Looking at a new helmet, would you suggest the leatt 9.5 carbon or the Fly Formula Carbon?

What are the main differences between 3.5 and 7.5?
Did you discover it? I’m also between these models.
Good helmet, but the chin strap is super short can’t hardly strap it up , I’m thinking of a way to lengthen it on the hoop side.
Hi Chase, I am trying to decide between the 7.5 or the Alpinestars M5. What is your opinion?
I've ridden in the M5 but not the 7.5 so I don't know if I can give a good comparison. what I can say is that I did like the M5 and thought it was a good helmet for the price - Chase

@@rmatvmccould I use it for mtb
Chase... I have the alpinestars m8, is this in the same league or a lower tier. It would be an extra helmet.

The Leatt 8.5 is probably more comparable to the Alpinestars M8.

Colors are horrible
it's a navy blue

Glad I read this comment. I would HATE that so much and also end up returning
I have 8.5 love but is 7.5 weaker?
I have this helmet and really like it, particularly the fit, but the weight for my medium is 1395 g ... which is just a smidge over 3 lbs.
Que tal el casco? es comodo? esta bueno de calidad contame!
Glad to see mainstream models below 3lbs.
The visor is crap! A visor that high will never block any sun. Someone must like them that way but I think it's of no use and ugly as well.
