Hey everyone - A) Play nicely and B) RE was a British motorcycle company. Without them, India wouldn't have been able to continue manufacturing them. As someone else in this thread stated, "half-baked knowledge"... That said, unless you're concerned with the individuals who possess legal ownership of an entity and/or IP (or appropriate term), many companies are now, more or less, global. In the case of RE, within the past decade, they built a beautiful facility in England. From my understanding, they employ people from around the world. Even prior to this, they contracted with well-known engineers and designers in order to evolve the company. The company has been making good decisions. That's why, from what I know, the world's leading motorcycle company. As a long-time fan of Enfield, even before this, the bikes had my heart. Personally, if I owned a company, I'd want whoever was most talented working there. Their genealogy, citizenship, gender, age, preference, religious perspective, etc., wouldn't matter - unless it interfered with their performance as an employee. Outside of expertise, off the top of my head, the only things that would matter to me would be their values and chemistry (with other employees). Semantics. Excellent show room tour! I just bought the yellow Meteor 350 and I’m digging it!! Super comfortable great engine sound and rumble, Wonderful ergonomics
Make it good and simplify.. I love what this bike tells other brands about what we want. And at what price we want it. With prices not matching product worth its great to see this. Let alone the 10 years and experts that made it
It’s rather cheeky to show the “tripper navigator” on two of these models when it’s an optional extra that is permanently out of stock. I live in the city where the RE factory is located and I would be ready to buy a Himalayan bike right now if they could offer me a bike with this optional extra.
After 750 miles on a 22 RE INTERCEPTOR, I know one thing this bike was made for smooth roads . Don't buy one if you are not going to be able to ride it on smooth roads. My r. Side cover latch failed and I lost the cover. Warranty would not cover it. The suspension is terrible, it will beat the crap out of you. It doesn't take much of a bump to bounce you off the seat.
I had a test ride on the meteor 350. Terrible bike, such a shame as they look great, but they are so heavy and the engines underpowered. The starship looks great but same engine and same issues.
@@fernandodieztejerina625 slips out of gear on its own, too heavy and chunky, far too underpowered. I understand it completely, I’m not romantic about it.
