Thanks for a cracking little series Chris, I really enjoyed watching them and hopefully there will be a few more on the car as you tweak it. Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
Great trilogy of videos. I actually came here to watch your 159 1.75 TBI video as I’m considering it as a daily for the next 12-18 months, and I ended up being so surprised to see that you ended up meeting the WD team and buying a GTV from them. I moved to Aus in 2015 and we don’t get all the latest episodes so I’ll search for it and go through the whole restoration and your purchase. Keep up the good work, Chris and congrats on your purchase.
Hi mate, thanks a lot for watching and for the kind words, much appreciated! The WD car was a great experience and those guys were all genuinely great, crew, stars, the lot. The 1.75 159 drives well and looks cool - I’ve just been given a 2.4 Brera for free which has a lot in common with the 159, so check the subframes carefully for rust, although not a big problem in Aus!
@ Thanks for your response, Chris. Great to hear you’ve got a free Brera, I’ll look out for it in your videos. There are some great examples for sale between the 1.75 and the 2.2 JTS TI. The 2.2 I found is literally in immaculate condition with less than 55K KMs, so very low mileage, going for a great price too, but I’m not sure if I’d miss having a torquey punch that the TBI provides. I’ve had Turbo cars for a few years now. What do you recommend? Bearing in mind I’m looking at having it as a daily for no more than 18 months (24 months at the most - unless I fall in love, which is a risk as it’ll be my first Alfa).
Awesome trilogy finale Chris. And it's always nice to see how an alfa brings a smile out on people. Anyhow merry X-mas and happy new year to you and your family Chris. Looking forward to future episodes.
A great video. Love the GTV style, and the colour is very nice too. It great to hear the Wheeler Dealer team are down to earth and acknowledge their fans. That V6 sounds stunning. I have to admit if I found an Alfa I would have to have a V6 now. Hope you all had a merry Christmas too
Happy Christmas Chris. Car's looking good, im sure you'll have many miles of v6 pleasure to come..Enjoyed the 3 video series. By the way the Spetaccolo Sportivo Dutch Alfa club weekend is on 29th 30th June next year, idea for a video maybe?😅 Beers/coffees on me. Wishing you and yours a happy and prosperous New Year.
How come i heard Mike went out of Wheelers Dealers, my favorite show!!! I’m simply addicted to it!!! Elvis and Mike, amazing!!! It’s hard to choose who’s better, Ant or Mike?!🤔 Amazing guys!!!
Watched all 3 episodes, Chris. Car looks detailed nicely and you’re obviously well pleased , job done. I’ve never seen such beautiful hot weather for Christmas Eve (! ) nice one , merry Christmas
I particularly appreciate the originality of the car. Most you see will have a few (or more than a few...) things 'upgraded', but this is a clear example of how wonderfully tasteful and stylish the original item is 😍
Excellent mate, the motor looks fantastic! I met Mike many years ago when I worked in the insurance sector, he was at a few of the national business forums where I think he had some sort of involvement in an insurance related product…..anyway, I’d been a fan of his for some time and he was such a great bloke. Just an all round car guy who was super happy to spend time chatting to me about car stuff. He gets so much stick online and it’s just not warranted. It’ll be great to see what’s planned for the GTV over the next few months Chris 👌🏽
Cheers Lee - hope you had a great Xmas mate? Thanks for watching - I agree about Mike, a very genuine guy who was keen to make sure I was happy with the experience. When we were in the car, we also talked about life, kids and Ed China, which he was obviously still getting unfair stick for.
Nice little trilogy and a slight peek behind the curtains of Wheeler Dealers, looks like you got yourself a fantastic car. Enjoy it, have a great 2024 and look forward to seeing more of your videos.
Lovely series. Many thanks. As a contented 916 owner, despite the occasional moment there are no regrets. Just fun. If you fancy a road trip down west to Ruan Minor car show, I'll get you a pint. We have decent beer down in Cornwall.
@Lucan-ve6zc excellent stuff! I spent several Summers down at Culdrose in the 1980’s cos my mate was in the Navy and loved it so much I’ve spent time in Kernow every year since! Used to go clubbing at the Berkley Centre in Camborne back in the day! 🍺🥰😎

Hi Martin, thanks for the support mate, it’s much appreciated. Good move buying some Teledials, they really make the Spiders’ stance much better. Hi mate, thanks for watching and hope you’re enjoying your Summer? It’s 3.5 degrees and snowing here! 🥶 I have a 916 Spider with the 3.0 Busso, rare and getting pricey in the UK - probably about £10k+ The GTV Busso can be found for much less - a good one is about £5k here. Thanks Tibor! Merry Christmas to you - see you in 2024! 🎅🏻👍🏻
@@TheAlfaNut ❤ Thank you and merry Christmas!
Did they change the timing belt too?
Hi mate, Merry Xmas! Sorry I couldn’t talk on Xmas Day - transporting the old fella home! Yes they did, and a lot more 😉👍🏻X
Merry Christmas Chris....😎
Hi JJ - Merry Christmas to you too!
Is that a Q2 diff going in?? Merry Christmas!
Hi Richard, yes it is! Cheers for watching & Merry Christmas! 🎅🏻👍🏻
This GTV is a Dream ❤️
Thanks for watching mate, it is a lovely example! 👍🏻
I like these cars! Great engine.
(Even if I always end up favouring the cousine, Fiat Coupe 20VT. May have to buy another)
The Fiat is also a great car and very similar in many ways! I will be featuring a Coupe Turbo VS in 2024 👍🏻 Merry Christmas 🎅🏻🎄
Well done.. Beautiful car.. Alfas are great cars
Hi there, Merry Christmas! Thanks for watching - do you have an Alfa?
@@TheAlfaNut yes I do... In fact I have a few, 105 spider, 916 spider, Alfetta gtv6, 75, and a 156 gta
How I wish I could have more cars. A GTV would be awesome, or a Spider, but I have nowhere to keep them.
You should rent a garage somewhere, then you don’t have to tell the Wife like me! 😉👍🏻
@@TheAlfaNut It's not the wife that's the problem, I have none. Prices to rent barns and garages around here are horrendous. if any are avaliable at all. But hope to have a solution soon so I can at least get a racing car.
Hey, you didn’t say how much you paid for that pleasure called “Buso”🤔
Lovely motor but stop your middle lane hogging mister 😮😊😊
Have a great Christmas and New Year
Haha, its only hogging if you are going slower than everyone else!! Merry Xmas mate 🎅🏻👍🏻🍺
How about you buy my 2002 Spider V6 in Vela to keep your black one company? I’m after £4750 as it needs a few bits doing but is on 90k with FSH
Mine is Vela Blue, not black! 😆
@@TheAlfaNut bloody thought it was black!
Lovely...but come on, the 205 GTi was one hell of a pug :-)
Hi mate, thanks for watching! Yes I agree, my dislike is really only for the horrid 2000-2010 era Pugs, the 205, 309 and 405’s were all great drivers cars
I know other car your alfa reminds me of , the Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo
Hi Ian, yep they are both pretty similar in several ways - I’d like a Coupe and will feature one in a video soon 👍🏻
Hahahaha, Instant karma 😂😂😂
Nice car. Good buy. Good bye
Tu queres sei eu
It looks like the Fiat Coupe that came out around the same time 🎉😊
Hi Maverick - thanks for watching. Yes they are similar in many ways and they also share the same “Tipo Due” platform developed by Fiat. Both great handling fwd cars with pretty styling and interiors. The 5 cylinder turbo Coupe engine is a cracker too!
@@TheAlfaNut I had the normal aspirated one years ago, great car and still quite quick. By the way my friend Ian from Alfaholics is in your original part 1 video. Mike is also a legend 😊 I’ve only just landed on you so will keep watching 😊
@maverick51 Ah - I think Ian is the guy with the beard helping max with his McLaren at the start? Thanks for the support mate - don’t forget to subscribe! 😉👍🏻
@@TheAlfaNut he’s the bald one. I was there the other day, being shown around…amazing cars. . Yep ii’ll subscribe. Cheers 😊
@maverick51 oh right - workshop manager! Yeah its an Aladdins cave isn’t it 😍
Great series of 3! The car looks superb. Have to say though - I almost felt like unsubscribing when you said you didn't like Peugeots🥲
Hi David thanks for watching! Sorry I should have been more specific - I love a 205 GTI or an RCZ for instance but not the 307 or 207 etc. anyway such personal opinions are mostly irrelevant now as Peugeot and Alfa are from the same stable these days! Lets hope for good things to come 😉👍🏻
