This was perfect. You did one take (no edits or cuts), spoke naturally and clearly, were thorough and familiar with the addon, and didn't have an embarrassingly loud, obnoxious techno intro or outro. This is extremely rare on TH-cam. Thank you for making this.
That was acutally a great tutorial which explained most of the basic stuff - it wasn't rushed, it was very calm and in a good order, thank you very much for this.
Thank you! Been looking for a not so technical tutorial on this. You go deep enough to understand and not so deep to bore me. Even though i am a new tank, loved your video. Informative!
Great guide! As a dps the first 16min of the guide were perfect for me to get everything set up exactly as I wanted to. If I ever get into healing, I'll be sure to come back and watch the rest!
Awesome tutorial that helped me set everything up right the first time! one thing worth noting, that I didn't notice if you mentioned it...and it's kinda really really important. You have to hide the standard WoW frames or you'll have both of them up and running at same time...and that was a mess. ha. But brilliantly done. Loved your thoroughness, attention to detail, and lack of some weirdo accent.
I just used my WoD boost on a shaman whos mainly ele but when im not with friends and do dungeons the queues take like 20 or 30 mins so I decided to try resto... ive never healed or played shaman before so this is really helpful im sure ill keep referring back to it as I use VuhDo more, thanks a lot!
Thanks so much for this video. Just came back, been gone since cata and was a tank main, but I only play heals now. I'm only lvl 40, but trying to get everything prepped for performing well in the higher end content.
i've played a tank most of my wow career.....bear.....never even thought about healing, and when I always rolled an alt i just healed the noob way.....thinking about rolling a healer on an alt now for real, and this is a nice detailed tutorial.....now to decide between this and healbot.....thanks
Targets are great to turn on for a paladin healer, at it allows you to bind attacks and interupts to your mouse to click on the targets... I use it to build up holy power with judgments and crusader strikes... being able to interupt helps out too, ofcourse :) It's also nice to be able to see who's targetting what in raids.... lets you yell at people who ignore the adds and just focus the boss :D :D :D
+Erulin68 Thank you for the call out there. Its nice to see how others may use a particular function I'm not finding as useful. I may actually take a closer look at turning it back on.
+Wylde Chylde They don't have to be big, just big enough to click em. I have all healers at 100 now, and there is an advantage for all of em to be honest. My Bubble Priest uses it to consistantly throw out Power Word: Solace so she gets 2% mana back every 10 seconds and build up a constant flow of atonement/evangelism for Archangel's 60% better healing for 18 seconds every 60 seconds, or when it's really needed. Every healing class has some spell or mechanic that makes them get mana back, so you use the targets not for damage (though you can if hardly any healing is required) but to keep my mana up. Turning them on made me a more consistant healer much to the delight of my guildies during raids :)
Hey! Thanks for the awesome Tutorial! I have 2 problems tho. first one is that there is a icon of Wildgrowth and Tranquility show up times. I havn't put it on....I think. And the other one is that while I do dungeons my tank wont show up on the "tank" bar. Thanks!
When you open Vuhdo, select the General tab and then on the right hand side, click on "AOE Advice". If you don't want the icons showing, uncheck the spells that you do not wish to have advice on. As for the tank not showing in your "tank" bar, you may want to rely on a group bar for dungeons. The tank bar normally looks for those who are tagged as main tank which only happens in a raid group. I'm not sure if that will fix your issue or not. I'll do some testing on my end and see what I find.
Hello there great video by the way.. I have a question im trying to set up a holy and disc spec and im having issues from when i switch from holy to disc my spells dont save and i have to put them in all the time. Do you possibly have pointers on this by chance. Thank you for your time.
When you set up your spells the way you want them on a particular spec, go to tools and save the profile as "Holy" or "Disc" and then do another profile for the other spec. When you switch specs, go into VuhDo and load the matching profile to change the spells.
Really like how you can sort groups by role. Melee dps , ranged dps , healers , tanks. I use elvui myself and i cant figure out how to set it up anywhere near like this. It would really help a lot if i could make a melee group and a ranged group. Anyone know how its done with elvui ? can it?
Hi, there! I'm a several year ElvUI user and I'm just now converting to Vuhdo for my raid frame healing needs. Awesome video, definitely helped me navigate and organize my frames! However, I am looking for a way to track my 4pc bonus ability, which is a riptide addition to the target I am chain healing off of. I'd like to have icons for BOTH my manually cast riptide and the 4pc auto riptide. Is there a way to do this?
+laura giammattei Apologize for not getting back to you earlier. I'm not sure if you are still having this issue but I wanted to make sure you knew how to track this for any future purposes. You can add any new spell by Spell ID in the hot icons/bars. Since the auto riptide has a separate spell ID from the normal riptide, if you add it separately as a different icon, it would track both so you can see if it is stacked. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Great video and tutorial. One question though when setting this up trying to heal none of the toons that I am trying to heal are being selected when I try to click on them under my unit frames?
+Emilee McClain So sorry for the late response! I've been offline for a bit. The joy of Vuhdo is that you don't change your focus when you use it. So I can click on someone to heal them without changing who I have currently targeted. This helps a ton when I'm focusing on the boss or adds for CC. In order to actually select the person, you have to bind it like you do a spell. For example, I have bound my right+ctrl click to "target" which will actually select or target that person. Hope that helps!
Heyho Wylde :D Great Video THX! I have two Questions. What if i want that my right Click is on default function? And can i tell Vuhdo that it should disable its function when i change on my DD Spec? Excuse my bad English :D And thx in advance.
You can assign any spell to your right click button and leave the left click button empty or as target so that it only selects the person. If you wish to have a different setup for your DD spec, you would have to create a separate profile and on the "Tools" tab select "Key Layouts". You can assign a profile to each spec so that it automatically changes when you switch specs. Let me know if that answered your questions!
You have to assign a certain key combination for targeting. Open options, click the "Spells" tab. Assign a button to "Target". For example, my Ctrl Right Button is for targeting.
When you are on the character screen, make sure your character is selected and click on "Addons" in the left bottom corner. This will allow you to load Vuhdo Options. Just scroll through your addons until you see VuhDo - Options and make sure it is checked.
Cau you plz help me I did everything u said but once its set up I cant see my main tank in 5mans.Im low lvl so I haven't been able to raid yet but this is so annoying.
+Ski Mask Sorry for the delay. I've been offline for a while and just now coming back. If you are just healing 5 mans, there is no need for a special setup. Here are the instructions to make sure your tank is always the first person in your group. Open Vuhdo Click the "Move!" tab In your frames click on "Choose" Under type choose "Group" Under Valude make sure each frame has a separate Group. ie: Group 1, Group 2, Group 3 etc. Click okay Click the "Panel" tab Select "General" on the right hand side In the middle under "Sort by..." select Tank=> Healer => DPS" Select "Okay" in the bottom right hand. Let me know if you have any issues with that. It should put your tank first in the group, then your healers, then your dps.
Its necessary to click the frames? the addon is perfect but i would love to cancel that option, i like to click my frames then my spell, i also pvp so i'm not used to clicking. Is there a way to turn that off?
In the spell tab you can change the left click spell to "target" which will only target the person. Then you can use any keybinds/macro you need to for that target. I hope that answers your question. Please clarify if you were looking for something else.
wow.curseforge.com/projects/vuhdo/files?page=11That is the link for all the past versions of VuhDo. I don't believe it goes back to 3.3.5a but you may find something that works. Let me know how it turns out for you.
I'm not sure how you could have excluded yourself from the panels. Go to the Move! tab and make sure that your panels are set up to show groups. Then you can go to the Panel tab and Sort By however you wish. I normally do Tank - Healer - DD. That way you are sure to show up in the group.
+DarkBobee I use Shadowed Unit Frames for my character frames. It automatically turns off Blizzards standard character frames and gives me the option to turn off the party frames/raid frames for the standard Blizzard UI.
+Juan Diego Mondalgo Morales Debuffs are setup under the "Debuffs" tab. You can select for it to show only those that you can remove or, if you select custom, you can setup any Buff/Debuff you wish to show up on the bars. I didn't go into detail on this portion in the video but if you have questions about a particular debuff setup, let me know.
+Pixel Poro I use Bartender for my action bars. I have since changed the setup but that particular one is an included template that is easily setup. I may add a tutorial for Bartender at a later date if needed.
pcworld88 Shadowed Unit Frames: UI Bartender: Bars Adibags: Bag/Bank Vuh Do Healing Frames Skada: DPS/Healing Meters Weak Auras: Awesomeness Blood Legion Cooldown: CD Bar Raid Buff Status Raid Buffs and Consumables Let me know if you have any other questions!
I'll answer this question once for those who seem to be ignorant of the english language as well as the original creator's intent. VooDoo is a religious cult practiced in the Caribbean and the southern US, combining elements of Roman Catholic ritual with traditional African magical and religious rites, and characterized by sorcery and spirit possession. VuhDo (pronounced Vădoo) was created by Iza as a healer click addon for World of Warcraft and was spelled phonetically. In his original videos and descriptions of the addon he called out the pronunciation of his creation as VuhDoo with a short a. I hope that answers your question.
This was perfect. You did one take (no edits or cuts), spoke naturally and clearly, were thorough and familiar with the addon, and didn't have an embarrassingly loud, obnoxious techno intro or outro. This is extremely rare on TH-cam. Thank you for making this.

This video was amazing. I followed along step by step with what you were explaining. I was soooo lost before I found your video. Thank you!!
Awesome tutorial on setting up. I'm new to the healing spec but this will be so much easier than clicking everyone separately.

One dislike. Apparently that person DOES heal pets.
This is my first healer, thank you so much! I was so worried about setting this up. Now let's hope I can do some healing x.x
Ty so much, I didn't know a thing about Vuhdo and your tutorial was awesome, explained everything I wanted. Nice job !!

Excellent guide! Thanks for all the detail. Of course, as a resto druid I found this particularly helpful. :)

GREAT VIDEO that was the best video guide I have seen for addons
Thank you for the awesome tutorial :) I have heard of VuhDo but never used it...I always used HealBot but VuhDo looks more promising :)
Really great tutorial, definitely the easiest to follow I've seen.
You're a great teacher. Things are explained well. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this guide, I always used Vuhdo but this really helped me to clean it up and add some features :-)
Very nice. I am totally new to healing I picked Vuhdo even though guildies said healbot. I found your guide really useful thank you :)
