In Australia we catch that size most of the time
You guys are having too much fun out there
Guys please why not try upload a video of surf fishing by vetchies reef and other central places as there are a few people who cannot afford to travel up north or down south to go fish
Man, I love your channel! Thanks.
In Australia those fish are called. Taylor and the big one is a green back taylor we use the small taylor to catch the big green back cannibal fish
Nice. Our summer shad are coming out decent size too. (Splash Rock Port Edward) but I doubt it has anything to do with the colder seas up there near the Tugela, our catches are coming on hot days with a medium NE.
Howzit Andre can you do a bait demo on that and show us how the trace is used
Well done!
Lovely 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
That's the biggest shad I've ever seen😯
21°C cold? Here in the Western Cape that's hot !
Keep these great videos coming. What is the sinker/lure rating (Oz) and line rating (lbs) for that rod?
6-8oz
Super shad😎
I notice the rod has a short handle compare to USA. Why is that?
At Cape Infanta they get bigger , Bloukop Elwe
How on earth do you get your two or three piece rods apart after your session? I struggle even if I use sunscreen or a little oil.
Struggle as well, especially in the heat. I sometimes use 1000 sandpaper very little sanding needed thoigh
I also had that problem and then realised I was pushing the pieces too deep into each other. Took a few tries but now I know the sweet spot where I push it in deep enough that it doesn't pop out but not too deep that it gets stuck. You don't need to ram the pieces together. Avoids stress cracks as well
@@Mikey4808 you sound like my wife. Lol
What's the name of that point where Andre caught that big shad
Seola - TUGELA SOUTH BANK
How far is the walk if I may ask 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈
@@sajeelpurnwassi3302 4,5km from the cottages
@@TheASFN shew that's a walk
How many kg was that shad
Hi the shad was 5.5kg
As a pro u supposed to released dat shad,, wat did u do with him
U correct. He didn't. Dragged it all over the rocks. I'm sure that 1 was for the pot
Hi Iqbal, the shad jumped out of my hands twice and as you will see we tried to revive it in a pool, sadly it did not survive and I ensure you we had full intention of releasing as we have proven over 15 years releasing 95% of our catches. Nothing goes to waste though, the head will be used as a shark bait, the belly as bait and the rest was consumed. I eat fish once a month if I am lucky, and most of the time it is bought. I differ from your "Pro" comment as I believe all anglers should have consideration with regards to our resources. You made me laugh though, thank you for watching.
Live mullet is there favorite
"their"
coenrad de clerk 😂😂😂😂
You never released that shad...LOL...😂
I was also thinking why is he stuffing around with the fish for so long. Even took it for a walk....🤦🏻♂️
haha nobodys gonna release that in a hurry lol
Anglers must stop taking the 30cm legal size and wait for them grow proper then we can experience this sizes often
10 minute video of which 8 minutes talking.
Catch some fish.
If you dont like the video please move on,there is plenty more!
