U.S. NATIONAL PARK PASSES | Overview, Options and How to Buy

You must purchase a park pass in order to legally enter a United States National Park. This is relatively easy if you show up to a National Park entrance gate but what if the National Park or National Forest does not have such an entrance gate? And what park pass is best for you? There are so many options including the Annual Pass, Lifetime Senior Pass, Annual Senior Pass, Access Pass, Volunteer Pass, Military Pass and 4th Grade Pass. Some of these passes are in fact, FREE!

Thanks Travel Eaz. This info helped me save a lot of money on a wildlife tour I recently took. The company was going to charge me for entrance to the park but I already had my pass - didn't have to pay twice!!

Can I buy if I have an international adress? I cant registry myself to do the purchase

I did some looking into this and everything I find is anecdotal. The NPS sites says "everyone" can purchase the Annual Pass (there are restrictions for other passes). I would be surprised if you get a response, but you can emailing them at: [e-mail] Or, you are able to purchase a pass at the entry gates to the parks when you arrive.

You can purchase the standard Entrance pass or the annual park pass at any of the park entrances (I thought you could but I just went on their website and confirmed that you can).
