Obedience is where the depth of relationship with God comes. Trust, faith and belief that God will never leave us nor forsake us. Too many people love their comfort and are backsliding. Money, jobs, power and status are what they keep ‘hiding’ behind.
I love my Yeshua, but I have a physical condition that makes it SO VERY difficult to concentrate on reading the Word or anything else. I'm in pain all the time. I struggle to understand why. I pray in tears. The most I can manage is my Bible app on my phone. Somehow, I have to accept that I am loved and I am His own child❤
Just pray in silence to God about it, put your desires to him because if spiritually is dead there, you will not be able to grow, if it's God's will he will move you and he will confirm it to your husband, it's unfair to suffocate in a dry place
First pray for the church you are part of and ask God to uproot what is not of Him in it. Pray for the leaders and the congregants. Ask His direction, perhaps you are being called to lead a Bible study or another ministry within this church to begin to reignite this leadership and congregation. Bind the spirit of discontentment and spirit of annoyance off of yourself and ask others to pray this for you also. Only leave this church if you are certain it is the Lord leading you to do so. I was too young to know to pray for some of these but in hindsight I've seen head pastors removed and my husband taken out of the way and worship leaders greatly improve by Gods moving to get me where He wanted me.
You need to find the right people at that church. Most churches have a small group that I call the abiders . If there’s not that group then start one. Start with prayer, be intentional about what you pray for, and be ready to serve the Lord. It just takes a little spark ⚡️ to start a fire 🔥.
Just come out and speak the truth: it is impossible for big churches much less mega churches, to meet the needs of the sheep and function as the bride! Mega churches are for the leaders. Not the sheep. This is fundamentally true! I pray for your boldness to speak truth to the sheep so they can be free. Not to criticize big churches, but to encourage reality and truth as the foundation for wisdom. something can’t be fixed if we don’t acknowledge it” is there and needs fixing! I tire of pastors leaders Christians acting like politicians refusing to speak truth! The motive is the same.
It is not safe to be fully known because you will never be fully loved in the American church or in the American neighborhoods if people know you fully. Why do you think so many of us find ourselves senior citizens with no connection to anyone. Because we haven’t measured up! We are not good enough. and so we read books by Frances Chan and we wish… But it can never be
Gosh, I’m so glad that your comment is not true for me. I have a wonderful community (as far as the body of Christ). We meet several times through out the week in homes, the gifts of the HS are flowing among us, we prioritize reaching out to the lost, and I can be completely transparent here and I know I’m loved and prayed for, encouraged and sometime corrected. It’s amazing. And I live in America (in TX). However I’m also aware that I was never supposed to rely on any person completely, for love, and acceptance, except for one: Jesus Christ.
@@Ania-pw6xf I am delighted that you are in a better situation. But if it’s true that God created us for community, and we are expected to be part of a church body, which Frances Chan is saying, making it a command, then it is pretty cold and callous for those in the body of Christ to say to people like me Jesus should be enough for you. We don’t want to know you. We don’t want to be in community with you but you’re stuck with us and Jesus should be enough for you. Quite honestly, do you not think that that is why so many churches are emptying out? I can be in communion with my Lord and Savior by myself! If the church has no use for a senior citizen, forcing myself to stay there causes nothing but pain of rejection.
@ oh wow, that’s what you got out of what I said? I did not communicate what I was trying to say very effectively, and for that I’m sorry. I simply meant, that I realize that even in the times that I’ve lacked community, I’ve hung onto the awesome truth that Christ is enough. However, it’s NOT Gods will for you to be alone! You’re a part of a whole body! And I love and value our seniors so much. Several have and currently do speak into my life to encourage and to correct me and their wisdom is invaluable. I’m praying that you find that community, but also, that you (with the wealth wisdom and life experience walking with the Lord) would maybe even start to slowly creat that community maybe even in your own home! Please forgive me for my previous comment making you feel “less than”. God bless you abundantly.
Francis Chan- one of the realest and most humble pastor / teacher out there.
Wow! What an encouraging conversation!

I feel so out of place in my church. I'm staying because my husband wants us to attend there, but tge church is spiritually dead.

Have you ever visited a Messianic congregation ?🥰❤️❤️🙏🏻👑

I feel the same way and have cried to God a lot about it but in the end I always ask, "What would you do Jesus?" And He always replied, "Love them."
