    I always appreciate your sermons. The part about the person from the Soviet Union coming to America in order to be protected from ethnic cleansing and other forms of discrimination reminds me of my great grandparents who immigrated from the Soviet Union to Canada just before the start of World War 1 to escape the pogroms. I think my great grandparents, my grandfather and his siblings would be horrified to see the rise of antisemitism in Canada and the U.S. if they were still alive today.

    Nice sermon, as an Israeli I appreciate protest of any kind and i don't think that it should be different in "the land of the free".
    In our time a person can be recorded all the time, in my experience its bring a more positive dialogue because the participants need to think more about their responses

    Rabbi, your experience says everything. Those people who wanted to “ambush” you are not interested in dialogue, because that requires an openness to argument, to intellectual honesty. Perhaps, sadly, to engage with those whose minds are already made up, irrespective of the facts of the case, is futile. Am Yisrael Chai. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱

    All those who held those phones simply wanted to catch you in a “gotcha” moment. There can be no dialogue with those who want to destroy you. Either you live or you die. There is no wiggle room here.

    You wanted dialogue so you left? So open-minded of you! This was not a negotiation, it was a lecture. You dishonored Rabbi Hillel Cohn by leaving.

    Gross. I hope you gain the wisdom to realize that your support of what the Israeli gov/military is doing in Gaza only further harms the international Jewish community. As a Jew who believes in the golden rule and learning from past mistakes, I can't justify the blood thirsty crimes of Netanyahu's administration.

      do you live in Israel?

    • @JCW86
      @JCW86 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@dizhar8888 No, I live in NY. Two of my grandparents live in Israel as well as a number of extended relatives. None of them want the war in Gaza to continue - enough is enough.

      As an Israeli and a person who lives in Israel. I want to explain to you things from my perspective. And I hope that if you don't agree. I hope that you will at least listen.
      First, I want to say that I respect your grandparents, and I am certain they are good people. But their opinion about not waging war on Hamas at the moment is a minority opinion and definitely does not represent the most common opinion in israel.
      Regarding Hamas. After Oct. 7th, it has become clear that they represent a clear and present danger not only to the existence of Israel but for any Jews or even people who are slightly affiliated with Jews. What they did on October 7th was completely psychopathic. Please 🙏 don't forget that currently, there are still 100 people that are in Gaza, including kids, babies, women, and men. There is absolutely no way we are not fighting to get them back ASAP. If Hamas remains in power. the next attack on common, Israelies will be even worse. This country is already too small as it is. There is already no place to hide or go.
      Now it can be that you don't give a shit about Israel and that for you, Gazans and Israeli lives are all the same same. But what you need to understand is that there is no life here without Israel. Without Israel, there is no water, electricity, economy, hightech, and law and order. Hamas doesn't give shit about those things. All they care about is killing Jews and creating a Muslim Caliphate. It really is that simple that. They don't give a shit about creating a Palestine. All the rest is just propaganda to make Israel and Jews look bad. They have a lot of allies a lot more than we thought. Including South Africa and intellectuals on the left in the USA. This is a scary time for all of us.

      @dizhar8888 I believe you. The reality of war is beyond words. Can you offer a different way out because the October 7th and a terrorist organisation like Hamas and Iran are a reality too… 🎗️
