The really sad part about this case is the kid believed he had to be 18 because nobody would listen to a kid. That's the message the cops and CPS sent to him.

This has been going on a long time unfortunately. Gen X, the famous lost generation, had a bunch of us 14yo in an apartment complex raising each other in a feral gang. One day the local problem criminal chased all the girls through the apartment complex threatening to rape them and trying to fight the boys. The boys lured him into an hallway in one of the apartment buildings. We called the police and they said that since there were any adult witnesses, there was nothing they could do. They sent out one officer and he took off.
Two weeks later that same perp broke into a young couples apartment by smashing down their sliding glass doors.

CPS tried but what can you do when you have 7 witnesses against you.

Nonsense. This is very suspect that they wouldn't go straight to police. Everyone knows 911. Seems very sensational and more complicated than what we are told by these fool creators and TH-camrs. This kid could be a problem kid trying to make more problems. Yes investigate but I find this highly dubious.

What gets me is the adoption system. My daughter is 32 yrs. old. At 28, she looked into adoption. She was engaged, had a fantastic job, and buying a home. She made $69,000 that year. She was turned down, because she needed to make $80,000. Turned down, although getting married, but they wouldn't let his salary be a consideration. She had an entire community support. The entire neighborhood, where she is park manager, for the last ten years, backed her with support letters. Around 300 homes were willing to vouch for her character. She was turned down, over $11,000. But this POS was allowed, nine times, to adopt? Unreal.

@@beckydahm It is. You are right. My daughter is now 32, and quit one of her jobs, she was exhausted. Now, though her salary is good, and solid, she is even further away from the requirements, financially. She inquired again, when she put the down payment on her home. She met all the fields, except financial. So, another year goes by, and she wants a child, and I want a grandchild. We don't care about age, or race, or whether it's a boy or girl. All this love, and everything else we have to offer a child who is deprived of that, and although financially secure, she doesn't make enough. All about money, like you said.😪

It blows my mind that no one was immediately suspicious of a young, single man wanting to adopt tons of young boys. Most men at that age don’t even want to be a step-dad yet, this entire scenario should have been the most obvious red flag in the world.

@@hvn17 To be fair, even a young, single woman wanting to adopt that many children ought to raise eyebrows, albeit probably for different reasons. Reasonable expectations about competence alone should be enough of a reason to prevent this scenario from ever happening. Generally speaking, young men just don’t gravitate toward childcare, especially when it is a child that isn’t their own. Sure, there are exceptions, but we’ve seen enough bad actors at this point for it to be more than reasonable to look into individuals like this extra diligently by default.

If they had kept him away from the kids for long enough they might have been comfortable to tell the truth but with the guy still around and the worry about retaliation they won’t want to say anything out of fear. I also know a caseworker who works against nursing home abuse and she does care and tries to do her job but said 90% of all investigations get dropped and never pursued. If you cannot find a partner because of your looks (ugly, fat, etc), it certainly does not mean that you are a bad person or neglectful.
Despite this, single-father families do exceptionally well, on average... your statistics are from single-mother households, which are usually caused by what I said above.
Those who adopt or get a surrogate are not in a poor environment or low SES-- it's necessary that you are not (adoption requires high income and checks, surrogacy is expensive).

Listening to the podcasters talk to him that he needed to go to the police because they would remove the children, and trying to make the victim feel guilty because "they will not allow children in that home until a full investigation was done" was infuriating. I'm sure most of us here follow a lot of court proceedings, true crime and have or know someone who has been the victim of abuse knows that isn't the case. The fact that he was on bond for 3 years and still had access to children is appalling, and the initial victim was trying to protect his brothers the best way he knew how. Disney is famous for allowing pedos and pedos who have actually been to prison to work in Disney. What do you think happens to all the thousands of children who go missing in Disneyland? Pedophilia is the biggest crime in the world but no one has their eyes opened, and its by our own GOVERNMENT. 80,000 children went missing a few years ago, and a few thousand children were abducted by our own government from the Lahaina fires they started in Hawaii. Look up the videos recorded in Lahaina the police said no aircraft could help them because of lack of visibility. But on one of the videos you can clearly see a plane holding a large shipping container shortly after the children were missing. All I got to say is this world is going to get worse, searching for truth led me to Jesus and He is coming back and you are invited to Heaven, seek salvation before its too late.

She allowed a man to stay in our home, he had just moved to America from Mexico and was fairly young(I think in his late teens to early adulthood). She had many issues with him while he lived there, but what he did to me was so much worse than her petty reason for kicking him out. I’m thankful every day that it wasn’t r*pe, but the molestation was enough to scar me for life and prevent me from ever coming out about it to any adults. Whenever I made even the slightest hint about what happened to me, it was always dismissed as a “bad dream”. Nobody ever believed me, so I stayed silent.

I know, I know, he's a victim and all of that but it is still valid to question the victim about specific details so they can better help them. Each story has their side and we have to review ALL the evidence before making an educated conclusion on the matter.

When you’re in a state of shock it’s hard to think clearly and coherently. In his mind he was probably thinking that if he made it sound serious enough, the child would be more willing to report the crime, but it came out wrong. I’m sure now looking back, there’s a million things he realized he could have done differently.

She had to request to be removed from the case and when she found out the judge denied her request she slammed the door to her office from how pissed she was. If she chose to not defend him and didn’t show up for trial her license would have been taken away as an attorney here in NY. And if the judge gets a gist that you’re not doing all that you can to defend the persons being prosecuted then you’ll lose your license. It’s messed up

as a child of adoption there's no worse feeling than going to your adoptive home and expecting a loving family and getting the exact opposite. My adoptive mother physically and emotionally abused me and my "brother" molested me. I unfortunately have personal experience with this type of situation and I thank you so much for covering this. These kids are gonna be in therapy for the rest of their lives, I hope they get the help they need.

Every government official knew this man was what he is, but didn't care about the children and need to be investigated.

Can you imagine the feelings this child was having when he realized he was being left with his abuser, instead of being helped? After mustering the courage and strength to finally get “help”.

Government let these things happen for research, in Germany orphan boys were placed with ped0philes intentionally for decades bc some ppl in academia claimed "it was good for the kids" look it up it's true as unbelievable as it sounds.

The fact u can even adopt 9 kids is insane at least two or three would suffer from serious neglect under any roof.

"It sounds like you don't really want help." from one of the podcasters. That's actually so gross to say.

IKR??? Like, he already went to get help multiple times and the justice system failed him. He need to make his next move calculated so that his father could actually get arrested and these podcasters literally victim-blame him and do nothing of value to help

It's so insane to even think that nonetheless let it come out your mouth. "Don't want help" like you trying to imply he WANTS to be touched? WTF is wrong with you? He wants nothing more than help that's why he's trying to make a SUCCESFUL case unlike the last 8 investigations and court case

@@ratboytherapscallion4003 i completely agree that these podcasters sounded like serious scumbags, but they did call the cops and something is finally being done about the situation. i would consider that something of value :)

Seriously, they aren't even taking into account that this is still very much a child. They also told him the abuser will likely be killed if he goes to the cops which was such a bad idea. That could have easily made him not want to say anything, what a horrible weight to add to this kid's shoulders.

The fact that he magically ended up with nine foster children -- all males -- should have been red flag #1.
