Mostly since in the FNF VS Sonic.EXE mod Sonic.EXE almost managed to kill him twice if not for Girlfriend, aka Girlfriend is more powerful than him. Mario.EXE on the other hand at least in the Mario Madness mod, "clearly"(if you could understand him) said that he was 'more-a powerful than you and your dad", but seemed to be more interested in playing games with the duo than full on out killing them, which Boyfriend of course was happy to oblige.
