First river water which flows towards the sea should be directed either by building a dam to generate electricity and then pumped through pipes in land for irrigation. Secondly for drinking water a plant should be established near the dam to purify it for drinking standard and bottled for sale.
Disturbing River water can Cause Earthquake and Floods And Slowing of earth
Some better methods are Rain water harvesting, Utilising dam/river water and lastly Save water.

instead of discharging the water with higher TDS content into the sea, we can further purify it by using crystallisation method and the water evaporated can later be condensed

If we use big boilers to boil sea water then all minerals & salt will be eliminated & the vapour will be pour water & cooling that vapour we can help boilers to boil more. The only requirement is electricity that we can get from solar panels & from sea which is free. WANT YOUR VIEW.

The solution is - take sea water in a pot and fire a flame under it take a tube going through it to another container . Then the water droplets will collect into the container and the salt is left in the pot .BUT I DONT KNOW IF IT IS RIGHT OR WRONG 🤔
