Last night 12/17/24 I found something I wrote in 2008 and totally forgot about it. It's about having joy. Not happiness because happiness can be taken away and received. However joy is different. You can be joyful in prison, you can be joyful while working a job you don't like. Joy cannot be stolen or taken by anyone except ourselves. And then tonight I decided to listen to the book of Matthew by Pastor Gary and he speaks the same of happiness and joy. God is all knowing at all times. Praise God for his direction and signs.
Pastor Gary thank you só much for your faithfulness in proclaiming Jesus Christ, and His Word in love and truth. And as for alter calls - keep it up!! Watching from South Africa. Blessings.
Really enjoyed this sermon. Except for one part. Disappointing God. I can not imagine that disappointment is even an emotion or feeling God could or would have. Disappointment is a VERY painful emotion to receive from anyone. Disappointment means failing to perform an EXPECTED action, which IMO this is somewhat humanizing our omniscient omnipotent Creator. All-knowing. Expectations and controlling us are not on His agenda. Disappointment is one of THE most damaging feelings and/or conversations anyone could have, share, or receive. Maybe I'm a lil sensitive to this, having endured more than my share. Thank you for reading this. I'm glad I 'stumbled' upon your teachings. May God continue to bless you and yours abundantly.
Over the course of listening in to your sermons, I have changed my mind on alter calls. Especially when that call outlines a true call to repentance and belief. Not so much the ones that are very vague hoping to see more and more hands go up. It’s the latter that made me feel alter calls were bad altogether. Thankful for you Gary.

Regarding confusing language, there is a funny video of Ricky Ricardo trying to read a passage containing words like through, thought, thorough, and though. English is hard for non-native speakers.
Christ is lord he died on the cross for your sins. The punishment for sin is the lake of fire. But Christ took the punishment for your sins so you wouldn’t have to go the lake of fire. Christ is the only way to get to heaven put your faith and trust in him to be saved. ♥️

At the midway to the bottom, there’s explanation of most everything, I guess because it’s a study Bible. Now I’m Ephesians 5:22-33. In the study part church which is people, but talking of 5:26 he might perfectly sanctify the church (people) “cleansed “ at conversion, how was her conversation effected By the gospel “word” and what ritual is to be associated with one’s conversion? “The washing of water” that is water baptism which is the outward symbol of an inward change.
This is 'splitting hairs' surely? Since Jesus said "Turn around" ( go in another direction & follow Jesus) ( matt 18:3) This involves a form of 'converting' and THEN becoming a 'disciple of Christ'. So biblically we can say that BOTH terms are acceptable. We foten use the term 'converting to suggest 'changing' the use of something. ( The same principle applys to the word 'religion' 'sect' cult' they can all describe a Christian! ( see Acts 24:14. Acts 20:22.)
Many convert to Jesus for money in my country but do not pray to him or accept him as God in their heart. Tell me does that make them a follower of Christ or disciple?

It blows my mind. A true Christian has been converted and filled with the Holy Ghost and are now through teaching the gospel become disciples. He doesn’t know about conversion. You must be born again. This is conversion. You don’t invite God into your life. No one come to the father except through the son and to the son unless called by the father. BORN AGAIN. YOU CANT MAKE YOURSELF SAVED! This is a false teaching. This man is not truly come to the knowledge of Christ.

Well they won’t be the same if they have a touch from Christ ( monetary or spiritually), but conversion is real submission lifestyle fully to Christ.
