Soooo I’m VERYYY early in my journey with TN. I was only diagnosed last week really and I still have some other tests to do of course. But ever since, I’ve been doing some research and within the first 2 minutes of this video you’ve described EXACTLY what it’s like for me. That means a lot right now. Please keep sharing 🙏🏾
Love this, and you are right, I was lucky to have a primary dr. who knew TN. He always told me I am the boss. I know my symptoms and know what works. I am sensitive to many medications and was allergic to Epitol early on. It worked great and so was disappointed when i was allergic to it. Topirmate has been my main and cybalta, but dr. lowered when i developed liver issues. Frustrating as i began to have intense pain , more pain than i had in a very long time. I have had TN since 2013. Severe ear pain, jaw pain and spasms and throat--all on my left TN side. An occasional zap under my tongue too. My pain was a 10+ on a lot of days. Still i went to work as we were short staff. I am a preschool teacher. I finally reached out to my dr., switched schedules with a coworker and they said go to er. No , no time. I had my appointment and given pain medication and steriods. I am a caregiver to my parents also and have other chronic issues. Your right, having to care for others and function daily with pain is hard. I may be smiling outside, but insideI want to scream out, this sucks--stop pain! Thank you for sharing your journey!
You have had a very tough time, Michelle. I hope you can find new ways of coping and that things stay stable enough for you to be able to function. Thanks for watching
Carbamazepine helped me too But I did get a RFA ablation and went off of it But now it’s starting on other side sporadically Praying it doesn’t get worse Love to hear your messages
This is super useful, thank you 🙏 listening to you talking about TN reminds me I’m not the only one going through this !
That's good Kelly, because loneliness is the worst thing about it.
