My friend was helping me when I first used mine, and she figured out that when you use thin paper, put a second sheet of paper on the back of the die, in between the plates. It puts just enough extra thickness to put more pressure on the blade. 😊
Its cute I like it because you say it feels like it not cutting going by smooth I got a sidekick one and at times is so hard to turn that it hurts my wrist. Thanks for the review sweetie😘💞
It's not the die it's the paper. Was it copier type paper as thats too thin. 120gsm ( mainly for lazer printers) is lovely paper for inserts, but again if you want die cuts for the front of your card then it's got to be probably 180gsm-250gsm. I settle for something abt 220gsm card. Ive found with the heavier card it can be a bit tricky and not cut right through the paper. The machine appears not to come with an embossing 'plates and rubber pads' which you have to buy or use something from your craft stash. I think with using a variety of dies you'd have to experiment with the dies you want to work with the paper or card you use but please don't overload the plates going through as you could break the machine as it may be too thick for Craft Buddy. I also make for myself a soft pad and place my cut on that and gently poke the bits out of the die cut with a pin pricker, saves you being a touch heavy handed trying to get the bits out. I was impressed on the first die you cut with and tempted to buy one as the plates I think are slightly bigger than my spellbinder sapphire. I've found not too much of a difference between die cutting machines over the years and I like the price on the Craft buddy. I have the Ebosser, Cut and Boss too and found with all three to not use really thick card . I contemplated the Gemini Mini by crafters companion mini/midi and the big one but after reading the reviews I put myself off them. I've had my machines about 10 years, or more, and on the Cut and Boss my plates have not warped. Now we'll see if the Craft Buddy plates warp! But I've seen compatible plates for sale so the plates shouldn't cost a bomb unlike Gemini plates As I said, comparing this mini die cutter to other brands I'd take a chance with it but NOT force plates, die and thick card through it as the die may not be suitable for it anyway. Glad I found your video , thank you.
New subbie and I just bought that myself and did a review a couple days ago.. I like it perfect for starting out like myself 🎀 Came from CraftKimchis channel😊
I saw this but I saw the shipping was like 30$...ah..no...so I didn't check any of the other sellers.. How wide are the plates.. Might need a paper shim..
It's handy to have a small one as I try and use up my scraps to make die cut toppers for my sisters cakes and make good us of all the scrap card. I have a really bad back and hips and with the small die cutters I can sit at my desk.

I love 💕 that it’s pink. Does a great job with thicker paper. I have the Gemini junior which is awesome with intricate dies.

Not bad for the price! I’d do it if need be. Thanks!
Super cute die cutting machine
Thank you for the review
Do you think a 1mm corksheet with adhesive back can be put thru with a craft buddy?
What about doubling the thinner paper?..
Nice review! TFS!

Cute! Thanks for sharing!
I wish that this system came with better directions and especially with what size dues cuts and stencils it takes .
I definitely thought you were supposed to cut dies with The cutting edge facing up but you cut it going down not sure if that makes a difference
Oh really I never have lol even with my big machines 🤪 now I'm curious myself
I've done it both ways with all my die machines and I don't think it makes much difference really.
It’s super cute!! Tfs
Tfs ! Useful information! Enjoy!
are we getting patterns with the machine or we should buy it seperately, and where to buy the patterns
No u don’t get any
😢
But them off eBay there woreorth the money

Thanks for passing by.. I will also come over to your channel 😉
What size die cuts does this take
Thank you for the review....it is cute!! Hugs
Well for $17 bucks they don’t spend money on great packaging which is understandable. Thanks for the review.
Did your die leave an impression on the plastic plate after you cut with the die.
@@caroldavis3703 yes they all do 😜
@@WandysSweets thank you for your fast reply. Your video was very informative. Thank you for doing this.
Why are my designs on the die transferring to my paper after it’s cut?
What the price..
It looks like a tinker toy but seems to cut 👌🏽
Hi Wandy! Sometimes you have to add a "shim" with those types of machines. I definitely need one with my Prism. Try that out! TFS

Can you tell me if this ones has a metal or plastic rolling pin on the inside?

@@WandysSweets Oh okay.. thanks for the response anyway..😊

the link to the one she posted is free shipping to the US anyway. Not sure where you are.
EBay have lots of different ranges
I bought this thing to but I am not satisfied For a few euro's more you can buy a much more luxory ''Buddy ''
I like how tiny it is
Give the salesman or shop number of this machine
I would want one that sections down to you work surface. This looks like a piece of junk.😢
I bought one from Temu I could only use it once an it wouldn’t feed threw the machine it was broke waste of money I sent it back 1:30
😢
1:18
😢
No good with paper, need card stock.
It’s not worth it. Don’t buy it. The inside gears aren’t made very well. One of the 3 gears wore out not catching the other gears and quit working.
Gift me a craft buddy
It's really small though
