Former G-Unit rapper Lloyd Banks dropped his first proper studio album in over a decade last week. Titled The Course of the Inevitable (or COTI for short), the project serves as the long awaited follow-up to 2010’s H.F.M. 2 (Hunger For More). As loyal G-Unit fans rushed to consume the 18-track project, they were likely searching for any reference to G-Unit boss 50 Cent.

You no longer have 100 percent input into what you are going to write about, who you can collaborate with, how often you release material, and your overall image, etc. If you enjoy creative control, then this is not the move for you.

I totally disagree. All the camp members (most especially Yayo and Banks) supported 50 when he decided to beef with every artist in the industry. They were loyal to the soil, and 50 turned on them as soon as he realised there were going to be these giant commercial successes just like he was. Plus if we’re gonna call Banks lazy, then 50 is a self destructor. He had no business getting in an album sale race with Kanye back when Ye was hotter than fish grease. Instead he make that stupid decision and his music career was never the same again, he had no choice but to pivot into other avenues.
Dont get me wrong i am not saying 50 isnt at fault and yes i do believe he was a bit jealous at some point but i still stick with my opinion that he enabled them and if 50 did limit these artist he is stupid because he would have been making alot more money.. tbh i think loydd banks would have done better if he was signed directly under shady aftermath rather than just sighed to Gunit under 50 and yes i did notice 50 wanted those guys to be soldiers forever... especially after he made them record the song that goes " general i salute you" i thought that was cringe but look how game made his way out of that and still got commercial sucesss and sometimes so called "loyalty" is just ignorance...

People have to understand if the lyrics are terrible it’s gonna stand out for the wrong reasons, same thing with production if the beats are horrible it becomes too noticeable as well for the wrong reasons. If Banks had picked different type of & better beats to rap over it wouldn’t stand as bad as it did. I wasn’t expecting a classic but at the same time I wasn’t expecting to stand out as bad as it did. That’s my honest opinion.

Lloyd Banks always been a real one, I never thought 50 was all that. His first album Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ was great as well as the first G-Unit album, Beg For Mercy, was dope. But his last projects he’s made over the years were trash

Facts or undeniable facts?...this was inevitable. He rarely does interviews and this is his first album in over 10 years. Other than that it's great to see him prove 50 Cent wrong. Sometimes people say something about your character that you may not like so you prove them wrong which in this case. Lloyd Banks proved that he can release his album independently and still deliver quality.

Hell, I even feel that he bodied both Eminem and 50 on Don't Push Me. But like I said, first full length album in over 10 years, kind of proves the point 50 made. Me saying that doesn't mean I don't respect Banks work, just means I feel like 50 had a point.
Aside from his official studio albums he has multiple solo projects ie. the cold corner series, 5 & better series, Halloween havoc, money in the bank series, v6, FNO, color of money, blue Hefner, and so many others, not to mention he bodied every G-Unit mixtape he ever got on.
His album went number one cause of 50 remark. I thought 50 was hating until I look into wat he said and meant. Lloyd banks album is to fire and I hope they all get back on the rite terms.

When Yayo got out of jail, 50 had $1 million waiting for him. 50 took hit songs that he had prepared for for his second album and instead gave it to Game to create buzz for his debut album. The list goes on... 50 gave them all that initial push that was needed for their first success, it was then on them to push forward and create even more success following the first one.

This is his best album (mop) and a classic at that banks is still a fresh artist to me and has a lot more in the tank and I don't 50 said anything to assassinate banks position in hip hop but gave his view and just as everyone else think banks is a beast of a rapper but should be bigger than he is ... but if a person is satisfied with where they reach in their journey can't be mad at that ...Banks did what a lot of us dream to do ...🤷♂️ so that is successful to me and dude has a net worth of 10 million shit so he is doing great at life to me

50 just knows Banks potential. I know what he means. Banks won’t advertise his work. So only fans & word to mouth gets his music out. This is definitely an absolutely completed album regardless what anyone says. I’m a Banks fan so I know when he’s being lazy but he wasn’t on this project
