I love that for the Elite 1 & 2 the medial side is filled in and the lateral side has the cut out (opposite to Adios Pro 3 or that huge angle/curve on the Metaspeed midfoot) given my stability needs! A welcome difference and really looking forward to your review after the race - Saucony shoes just work for me and long may it continue 😂
I thought that too. There's been another shoe recently that has done this, maybe Mizuno(?) It makes so much more sense as most people, including myself collapse inwards.

This foam has amazing softness. This is super shoe/race day shoe for elite runners. Feel like running at a slow pace just cannot get the most out of the foam.

Yeah it looks a totally different shoe to the Elite v1 which is a shame for those who liked the slightly firmer yet more responsive foam which that shoe brought over from the Powerun PB foam in the Pro 3. Glad that I still have a box fresh pair of the Elite v1 to not have to worry about new race shoes for a while yet.
I loved the video I own a pair my myself and did a 10k race in them I don’t have any issues with the shoe while running as far as stability however at a slower pace and just walking around or standing it’s definitely not stable feels like trying to balance on jello maybe even softer than jello 😂😂😂. I do feel though this shoe has the most bounce ever and design for a marathon for confront but I think ankle injuries will happen that foam is extremely responsive and the carbon plate is a nice touch ppl should definitely work on foot strength

Its even softer than Neo Vista?! I bought the NV several weeks ago, and to me thats nuts. These have a strong wiff of Hoka Cielo X1 with the design of the midsole, plate, softness etc.
I use speed 4 for my 10k so love how they feel. I have my first half on 5 weeks then 3 more halfs before Manchester full in april. For me would you recommend these over pro 4 ?
Far better looking than V1...sounds much softer than v1...whats the weight? under 200g? Looks and sounds like Alphafly, Adios Pro 3 and Cielo X1 all had a baby together. Look forward to full review.
I dunno. I never thought that the Elite needed softness. I love PWRRUN HG. Have my second best time in the marathon in them. What it needed was better wet traction.
They look very interesting! Just give them a try on one of your long runs and you'll know if they're ok for the marathon. Btw, your 10k PB is pretty fast compared to the half and full. There's still a lot of room there. 😉
You know what Fordy, I think you're nuts! :) If this is soo soft... what do you think is the max bodyweight you can run in them? I'm 180cm/90kg perfect neutral runner [with currently an medial (horizontal) meniskus tear] and wanna ask if this shoe would be too soft for me. It shouldn't... the Novablast 2 and the Novablast 4 TR feel like they are bottoming out close to 1h on asphalt. I also have the Superblast (1), but didn't really run in them yet. The Kayano 31 felt like plastic, but the Kayano Lite 3 is cool. Soft, stacked but not too much, low arch (my arches are high) but a bit of pronantion support (good when your feet get tired after a while). Any recommendation? I'm not a ultra long runner, my max I've ever run is like 1:30h+ timewise and like 17km lengthwise. Fast for me is 5:10min/km and slow 5:50min/km on flat asphalt (you call it "tarmac"? I had to use the dictionary lol). So, could this on my radar? I mean, limited release and close to 300€ is a scam. Also minding I have already a Superblast (1).
@@FordyRuns Saucony Endorphin Pro 4? But isn't this a plated race day (only) shoe? Due to your video comparing the Speed 4 to the Pro 4, I would def. opt for the Speed 4. And even the Speed 4 has some sort of plate + between those and the Superblast... I already have the Superblast :) Looking for a daily trainer that i can run despite my current meniskus problem. So, no heel striking, better forefoot or midfoot striking (which kills the Soleus but is good for the knees). So, all the shoes have 8mm drop or more, just the Kayano Lite 3 made it easier for me to land somewhere midfoot. AND: Hoka Speedgoat 5 (4-5mm drop) on steep trails around my small hometown. I tried forefoot striking in my Nimbus 26 already and it was terrible! The slapping to the ground was to be heard miles away + totaly destroyed my calves! So... I'm thinking about somethink like the Ghost max? Or Triumph 20 (out of stock)/21? Or the latest Saucony Ride? Or stay with my expensive Asics and give the Nimbus 26 another try (is v25 better? smaller toe box and less breathable uppder does not matter), or going straight to Superblast with its ~45mm stack? Or some Hoka alternatives because of less drop to makes me run better on the midfoot? Hoka what, Clifton 9? Or something completely different, max cushioned, New Balance 1080/880, v1-397 something (whatever they are called)? Stability = zero issue, just my left knee because of tight hips due to a car accident 20y ago.
@@Bolt21LA24pro 3 is great. I use it for races above 5k and no complaints. 👍. But again we’re all different, however if you’ve run in the Speed 2s, 3s it’s a fairly good option.

It will be an interesting ride..I did not like V-1 and sent it back..V-1 had potential but the size was off and the foam was too hard..if they softened the foam and dialed in the upper fit it should be a good marathon shoe..the upper of the pro4 is very good but the foam is still too hard..a little nudge towards the NB fuel cell (pro3 V3) and it could be spot on..😊
@@FordyRuns I agree but I also didn't realize it wasn't coming out until spring but oh well... I only have a half marathon planned so far may do my first full in fall or spring. I'll keep this shoe as an option if I push to spring and watch way more reviews on it as they come out. Thank you for replying :)
been a minute since I watched and again, Saucony is IMO leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else. They focus on this instead of several other shoes. I couldn't care less about Nike's in all honesty. I refuse to support literal slave labor and no idea why any reviewers continue to do so without mentioning it.
I loved the v1 helped me to a 18.54 5k p.b. at the grand old age of 50 😊

They have plucked the heel from the NB 1080v11, strange choice as not many liked it but it worked for me.

Will have to wait until 2025 and go and buy the Saucony endrophin pro 4 as my next race shoe purchase.
