It's basically KO damage count and better to evade for better less risky attack than to try to trade hits and with that little health pool better safe than sorry. Can only imagine the amount of retries to get this one video right.

Yo so I just started charge blade recently, and I was wondering how you do the regular elemental discharge when your shield is charged rather then the super amped.
@@pleasurebird before you do the wind up of the super you have to press down and triangle or Y depending on the system. It takes a little practice to get it down

Darkside makes it look like a spectator event. "Nah you just sit your pretty lil patootie down silver rathalos, i'll be done with ya shortly." Rathy sittin there like "ohhh ohkay if you say so Mr. Darkside" my favorite part was when he got a KD off the rathalos's left wing tip using the rocks. The timing was so good. Mama mia what a spicy run.
Nice gameplay, I feel its not just only the weapon that shines most here, the person playing is quite skillful enough to deal a reasonable amount of damage with that badass weapon.

For 2 weeks I've been trying to figure out the attacks needed to power up my CB, I've only managed it once, and that was by accident, I'm partly salty now after watching them pull it off with ease and take down a silver rathalos in under 3 minutes. 2 things I don't think I'll ever be able to do.
lemme see if I can understand what you mean by attacks to power up CB used in this video (there's another one but they didn't need it for the speedrun): Spinning Axe head = cancel SAED/ED3 with LTrigger/L2 Charging Shield = cancel SAED/ED3 with RTrigger/R2 SAED cancel into ED3 > directional input at the start of SAED SAED is the ultimate discharge that happens with a charged Shield which consumes all your phials. There should be simpler CB Control guides out there too if my explanation is a bit wonky.

Watch the tutorials made by Arekkz Gaming. He has 1 for every weapon and 1 for each weapons new Iceborne stuff. Watch both the base game and Iceborne Charge Blade videos, he will explain everything for you. For a quick tldr assuming you know at least the basics and you're playing with a 360 controller: Y, Y+Bx2 to use SAED then cancel it with RT to charge the shield With a charged shield or phials, press RT+B then hold Y during the animation until the shield locks in to charge the sword. Y, Y+Bx2 to use SAED then cancel it with LT to use Savage Axe mode, at that point Bx3 will do 2 savage axe slashes then a SAED or you can loop the savage axe slashes by using B, B, Y over and over.

Nah fam You're OP in a good way cus you know exactly how to use it professionally. One thing I learnt dearly from your gameplays and speed runs is that. A Powerful weapon is still weak to those who doesn't know how to use it properly but a Simple weapon can be one of the deadliest to those who does use it properly and effectively. You just store phials use the combo for SAED. So build phials Y+B Y+B then LT Or PS talk triangle +circle tri+circle L2. Buffs axe attacks and fun style to throw in.

What was the purpose behind using the damascus high rank piece, if I'm not mistaken you get the same skills with better slots on the MR version, was it specifically to obtain certain self-inflicted damage values?
I haven't gotten Iceborne yet. Currently HR 66 with the Nergi Beta set and the Nergi Chargeblade. Should I go ahead and get Iceborne? Safi's gear seems so OP and the designs are awesome.
If you like the game, buy IB as soon as you can! It is way more challenging and fun (in my opinion, at least). Also, farming endgame gear is pretty useless (unless you are a skilled speedrunner) since it is completely outclassed by the very first gear available in IB

The shield is charged, such as the axe. And you manage to use only one phial with the SAED.

Iceborne gives you an entire new chapter in the MHW story. I'd say it's well worth the price.
