Love your take Big B! You have a great voice. Having you call a game livestream would be awesome.

Izzo always, always, always gives credit to the other team and he is SUPER supportive of other coaches. If he said anything about lucky shots, which he will also say about his own team sometimes, then you just took it wrong. That said, MSU did have a poor first half. There were A LOT of missed defensive assignments and they shot poorly from 3 which has frankly been a theme for MSU in the tournament, but not during the season.
As for K State they played great. Markquis Nowles (sp?) was awesome. Ish Massoud was supernaturally hot in big moments. No matter what mistakes the two teams made; it was a super competitive game, with high scoring, clutch shots and just big heart from both teams. K State just made a couple more big plays in big moments and MSU had some lapses in big moments, like Malik Hall missing that second foul shot that could have tied the game, but that's what makes the difference in these kinds of games. Congrats to K State they did play a helluva basketball game. Just don't disparage Izzo. He is a good guy , he wears his heart on his sleeve. He is super honest. Good luck to K State in the rest of their games(s).
    An MSU fan

Izzo is a beast. A legend. Most the people criticizing have never played in sports, let alone a game of that caliber. Sometimes what you mean doesn’t come out the way you think it will. Did kstate have a few lucky shots? Yup. I’m not a big basketball fan by any means, and I was hooked the entire time. Instant classic. Msu has some dawgs

Izzo gave lots of credit to Kansas State. He didn't say the luck was only reason they lost. He almost mentioned other factors.

Wow nice take on Izzo. I too was surprised when he seemed to be saying KSU kinda got lucky. What was really strange was during the postgame he was looking at the stat sheet and MSU actually had better numbers in almost every category, but he seemed to be saying his teams performance was terrible. I really thought both teams played a heck of a game, KSU just made a few more plays down the stretch. He then was saying KSU’s shooting percentage was so high because they had so many layups. Hello, I mean isn’t that kind of the way it works you want to get as many close in shots as possible? Finally, I felt like he was really throwing members of his own team under the bus. He was talking about players missing free throws and calling out players by name. Was really a weird press conference.

Izzo is a classy coach. He said he didn't doubt that K-State played better than Sparty did. He just said that he's proud of his kids and how well they played, even in a losing cause. His comments are only disappointing to you because you obviously did NOT like what he had to say. He clearly said K-State had a great team that had great play makers. Maybe you missed Izzo's postgame interview after they eliminated #2 seed Marquette in the round of 32. He said Shaka (Smart) had a helluva great team and (Marquette) played a great game. You won and played better as a team, and I'll give you oodles of credit, but you're rubbing it in the faces of ALL B1G fans. And I really hate when blogger channels do that, along with blaming the refs on costing their team the game when they lose. I thought maybe you'd be classy enough to credit MSU for giving you a fierce battle and taking the game into OT, the only time during this tournament it has happened so far. I'm just NOT hearing ANY of that here. Again, win or lose, Izzo ALWAYS credits the opposing team. He's NOT a sore winner or loser.

@@bigbsportstalk I'm going to quote the late actor Patrick Swayze from the 1989 film Roadhouse when he said to Terry Funk (after the latter said to PS's character Dalton "you ain't much"): "Opinions vary." And Izzo showed WAY more class and dignity than you currently are in this video. He is NOT a sore loser. I honestly don't give a damn what you have to say. Who the hell made you an expert, anyway? You're just a KSU fanboy who's obnoxiously rubbing it in the faces of the losing team. I cannot even take you or your gloating ilk seriously. I am just defending the coaches in my alma mater's conference.

I've been listening to K-State fans for the last 4 or 5 days & I've stayed quiet but it's clear now that some of you have zero clue how to handle success. I've followed Spartan basketball for nearly 40 years & Izzo ALWAYS gives credit to his opponents. Michigan State DIDN'T PLAY their best basketball. They shot well but giving up backdoor layups for 35 mins isn't what they traditionally do. If you want the truth, he traveled BEFORE he hit that remarkable off balance shot. But you didn't mention that NOR DID HE. Ya'll seem to think just because your coach says A LOT of things that upset ppl that every coach must. Ya'll attacked Cal too.
Act like you belong instead of rookies.

Get off your high horse buddy… you realize that kstate has just as many elite 8 appearances as michigan state? So stop acting like you guys are gods of basketball! Also izzo and cal are both cry baby losers that make up every excuse in the book when it doesn’t go their way. Your team gave up backdoor layups all night because Kstate has more dudes and the better coach that night. Do you even know kstate’s basketball history?

@@bigbsportstalk Your comments are absolutely NOT necessary, especially towards fans of the team your team beat. And Izzo was NOT butthurt. He gave K-State loads of credit. What more were you expecting from him?

@crishi7459 Don't lower yourself to this guy's level. And don't be sour. Yes, that appeared to be a travel before Nowell hit that shot, but that's NOT what cost MSU the game. K-State just happened to play better ball in the end. One blown call isn't going to change the FACT that MSU fell short, despite taking KSU to OT. Blaming the refs is cheap and childish. There are always going to be blown calls the officials miss, on BOTH sides. It is what it is.

@@bigbsportstalk Your coaches and players are giving the opposition more credit than you think they deserve. Watch some of the GoPowercat videos. Listen to what Jareem Dowling had to say about FAU. I heard nothing but good things in that vid. That's REAL respect for his team's opponent. That's WAY more than what I can say you show towards KSU's opponents before or after the game. Even Markquis Nowell said MSU gave KSU a great scare in the Sweet 16. Damn! I can't stand sore winners, either! Stay classy, K-State fanboy!!
