I was told by a PCT through hiker that I "couldn't have" a trail name, because I wasn't a through hiker. I told him "sonny" (he was young enough to be a grandchild!) "I was given my trail name long before you were a twinkle in your daddy's eye." There are no rules, people. Have one or don't have one. Just be respectful! that's all it takes. Hike on Eric! Looking forward to more of your adventures.

@@SeekingLost I think Nope did the CDT the same year as you. He teams up with another thru hiker channel I watch. Thanks for clearing up that mystery of the old channels name! I guess I do have a good memory.
Cool story. I remember watching the CDT trip at the time and thinking your trail name was funny because you weren’t really famous yet… except in a very small corner of the internet:).

Yeah my GF was named Bessy because she had a stand off with a cow, then dropped it later and gave herself a name of her choosing.
