Knowing what I now know about Remake and Rebirth: holy fucking shit it's not even subtle if you know the full picture, everything with Aeirth is so incredibly telling but without the full context you really have NO IDEA why things are the way they are. Looking back on it now is INCREDIBLE, I can't believe they pulled this off.

Penny doesn't actually play the game or control the characters, she just controls the camera. She's the Lakitu of FFVII because she only focuses on what really matters, women and badassery, women being more important. Oh, Cloud just one hit a scorpion? On the one hand, this makes me want to play through the series myself. But I'm not getting a PS5 anytime soon, so I'd have to avoid spoilers on FFVIIR parts 2 & 3 until they come out on Steam in who knows how long. And I can't even get the first one now anyways. Pain
I do find that this game really had an issue impressing onto the player how and when to use magic (aswell as the utility of precasting the lower tiers of magic). Bosses that gave me trouble on my first playthough I actually handled better on hard because that mode FORCES you to use your mp effectively (Namely Hell House, I did not understand how to play Aerith at all my first time, I thought she was slow and awkward, and that fight right after the elevator was hell)
If for some insane reason I wasn't subbed to you, I would've done so after the yummy snacks intervention. Not nearly enough youtubers have a break like that
