The Guide to NAPA Valley and its Wines

- Napa is a winemaking region in California, USA, and its wines have gained high popularity since the famous 1976 Paris Judgement tasting. In the video I recorded during my recent trip to the West Coast, I talk about the Napa region, its climate, as well as the most popular (planted) grape varieties grown there - Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay and different wine styles made from them in Napa. I also visited several notable wineries of Napa valley such as Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, Chateau Montelena, Inglenook and Grgich Hill Estate.

My parents love Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. My family and I went to Napa Valley and I got
Sick of Cabernet Sauvignon by the middle of the trip, tasting all the same. I love the producers who are growing Italians varieties.
There are big, bold, high in alcohol and extracted red wines, yes. But one can find some wonderful and balanced red wines as well. It seems to me, that Your heart lies with Italy! 🙌🥂🍾☺️
@@NoSediment I’m an Italian American so I want to support my Italian roots. I do like Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley but Merlot I love.
@@NoSediment My favorite sub AVAs for Cabernet Sauvignon are Rutherford (Ruh-th-Ah-ford) Oak Knoll is and Stag’s Leap District.

@@NoSediment Haha, yes I like the details... 😏 Oh, and the Napa sign clip where you're running to pose under sign (and by Stags Leap sign), you reminded me of Jiminy Cricket the way you scampered around out there to pose... again such a trooper as you weren't well, and that big scarf wrapped around protecting you from weather and crazy bird attack... 🤨😄
Weather here in Phoenix AZ just recently dropped from 100/80 to 80/60 Fahrenheit, so loving it, will get colder soon, no snow... but yes, warming up with some Napa reds sounds good to me... I'll have to save up... 😜 In meantime I'm enjoying the Costco Signature Malbec 2020 from Mendoza Argentina at $6.99 😲 and other reds I have in my wine rack... 🍷
This inflation nonsense is ridiculas..., we have important elections in America coming up November 8th that should prove very productive 🗽🇺🇸⚖️ Stay safe in Riga, was disturbing to see Nordstream pipeline bombing and resulting impact on people and environment... Napa wineries are well manicured and themed for tasters’ enjoyment at a price. Great marketing tactic. The great commercial world of America.
Wines at wineries are more expensive or rather no discount like u can get at retailers. So wineries do not compete with their own distributors.
No questions there, they truly have developed wine tourism at a very high level! 🍷 Cheers!

@@NoSediment I’m from one of the states that cannot make wine, Florida. There is a “winery” that makes “wine” out of other fruits.
