#suggestion I just learned that GM Gilles Miralles died last week at the age of only 55. He was twice a champion of France but also a great man and chess teacher that made me and a lot of other kids love chess. It would a beautiful hommage for you to cover a game of his. He was a specilist in 1.b4 so you should be able to find a game that you like.

A subtle point I realized when I became a really strong player is that sometimes your best piece has 2 really good squares it can be on, each leading to different play. In this case, its best square early on may be a square that is one move from these two good squares, threatening to radically change the arena of play. This is part of the art of maneuvering.

    • @ivan_9386

Really takes some time to develop good chess strategy.
Pieces activity, good squares, defense of the king, good diagonals for bishop, creating outpost for knights, the right time to activate queen, when to switch from defense to offense etc.
      Crazy game.

@@lalappanlolappan2605, I think that having three or more really good choices can happen too, but it's just so much less likely (and thus so much less common) than having two really good choices. Hold on to your horses, Arjun is a great talent but lets not get ahead of ourselves, Arjun was the highest rated player in the Challengers and the favorite to win it, next year in the Masters section he will be the lowest rated player there, and it's going to be the toughest tournament he'll be in to date. It's a huge difference.
