Composers today love very long notes….and avoid any melody. Nice. I hate melodies. Hillborg is like music for National Geographic documentaries. Just lovely! I just see mountains and clouds and waves and grass moving in the wind and bears in alaska and fishes….
I dont know where all these modern composers find all their fascinating motivs……….an amazing creativity today……………all those beautiful long notes………
Thanks for posting this, fantastic performance and composition!
Extremely Beautiful, thanks so much!
Fantastic! Thank you very much for this posting.
Pleasure to become acquainted with, thank you !
will be an embarrassment of riches to compare this version to Altstaedt's, also on TH-cam. thanks!
Nej tack!
In the beginning it reminds Sustain by Andrew Norman… after music-film and ancient music, after Penderecki…
when I read your comment before listening, I didnt think I would agree with you.
but the opening does really resemble Sustain
Hillborg is great! Sometimes it sounds like choral music.
22:00 😍
Magic!
Very nice tune at 13:10. It sounds like a Maqam, or perhaps a segment from an Armenian tune
Refined orchestration
quite good ...
We can hear the classical melody.
i thought you hated anything that resembles tonality
The opening few minutes is literally tonal counterpoint, shouldnt that make you puke?
@@KinkyLettuce I like Wolfgang Rihm very much.
@@machida5114 Me too. ;-)) A close friend of mine.
