It's true, people are saying kpop is geting bigger, when I just see BTS and Bp getting bigger when it comes to streams every year. Maybe TXT a little on Sp, but not so much how people hype kpop in general. Spec with album sales, boy groups have 700k+ sales, some have milion album sales but just 10mil on Sp, and around 50mil to 100mil on yt. It's a little off, honestly. I think we had bigger "hits" last year, this year it's just BTS and Rose with one song on yt, and same on Sp... I think 2018 was a peak year for kpop in general. Yes, we have some groups debuting on BB200 album charts, but it's not hard because they always have album sales. When it comes to streams they are mostly bad, even for title tracks. In US BTS has more than 1B on demand streams this year, and all other kpop acts and groups together have 600mil, so album sales aren't always the real picture of groups popularity or demand.

Skz and NCT, Svt all have big album sales, but their streams don't look big or good, around 50-100 mil on yt, for tittle tracks, and around 10-15 mil on Spotify. Also, they get streams on their tittle tracks mostly, their b-sides are very low in streams, so idk where the albums sales come from, or people just don't like to listen to music on streaming platforms, like yt, sp, apple music ...
