I am 1 of 16 kids. My dad is 1 of 4 kids and my mom is 1 of 5 kids. And each one of uncles and aunts had at least 4 kids. Most of us aren’t religious. Some also adopted. Big families are awesome.

I grew up in Mexico, where most of the families had a lot of children (5, 7, 8, 9, 10+) and they were poor in the sense that they only had a small house made of adobe, wood sticks or very cheap materials. They lacked many things but I remember how happy everyone was, including myself. We would eat fish from the river, animals from the mountains (certain doves, rabbits…) and most people grew up being good men and women and very hardworking. Having certain shortcoming can be very beneficial, people learn to appreciate things and become hardworking men and women, not afraid of anything. Having money helps and of course it makes people’s life more easy in many ways but it’s not money that sustains of defines how a person would live. I would never change my childhood for anything. I grew up in a place with no electricity, no roads, where we walked more than an hour to the river to wash our clothes, we walked or used horses/donkeys to go to the biggest town to get some veggies or fruit. I came to this country when I was 9 and really miss my childhood. I am now 41, registered nurse with two children but I love big families, children are a true blessing to those that know how to appreciate life.
This is beautiful, but It is equally blessed to be childless. A holistic understanding of Christ doesn't hold any external measure (money, health, family size or anything else) as the measure of spirituality.

As per current time, If wife can successfully deliver 9 babies and a husband can provide 3-4 time meals and provide a good quality qualifications and have proper investment done for each 9 child then I believe it’s not a huge deal 🤩🥰

The government dont have the moral authority to cap at three and in practical terms it doesnt stop families having more than three anyway. You CANNOT live off this money in a country like the UK. The rest of europe gives a much higher amount. Its until age 18. It is not selfish because the Lord has designed it this way to be fruitful and multiply. Taking care of these little ones if also serving God, I am sure they help people financially, through volunteering etc and we don’t know who their children will become. Everyone has different callings, not everyone is called to adopt.
