Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This TH-cam channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

No need to try and ‘fade one’ or ‘draw one’, know your natural shot and just play that
Yup, Tig, Garret, Grant, Rick, Bubbie, they are over obsessed with hitting a draw. Just hit it straight. No one is impressed with a draw if it's 50 yards left everytime.

She’s a delight to watch and refreshing knowing a LPG professional can just step up and hit the ball, not taking minutes to figure it out. One thing I was hoping Charlie would say during the challenge was something she said during an on course interview when she came on tour. Asked what her thoughts were while playing. She replied, “Just hit it, go find it, and hit it again” Precious !!!

Ms. Hull, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Your tip to Rick using the alignment rod (at about the 12 min mark in the video), cured my smother / pull hooks with my irons! I have been struggling for the better part of a year, and your tip (ie. "feel") did the trick for me! I just can't thank you enough (along with Rick for producing his great videos)! Charley Hull is an absolute baller. Great player. It’s really something to watch this video, knowing that it was filmed a number of weeks ago I believe (as Rick mentioned on his podcast); not long after the video was filmed, Charley delivered a terrific performance at the US Women’s Open at Pebble Beach, finishing 2nd. Not surprised, based on this evidence.

I watch a lot of the women's golf as I feel it has more in common with my game, sometimes Charley comes across as a bit stern, but todays video just shows what a confident, driven and talented golfer she is, and today was a great partner to have for Rick. Who doesn’t love a bit of Charlie Hull? Tells it as it is, gets on with it, honest about wanting to hit it like a bloke. Loved her and her attitude before, this has not deminshed it at all. As others say, let’s get some more LPGA players, but as many with Charlie as you can!
Charley is some player. Rick needs to keep it simple. Loved the viewing angle of Rick's approach on the 6th hole looking back from the green.

Great video! What impressed me of Charley's game is that she was comfortable with every shot, every lie, every type of grass. I noticed that the competitive spirit ignited only towards the end, while, just to make a comparison, Poulter wanted to destroy you. Great content with great players!

Love all these comments about forcing a shot shape instead of just hitting it straight… Rick has talked about this in his podcast and has said it’s very difficult to hit a straight shot as everything (path, face etc) has to be perfect whereas it’s easier to hit a shape as there are tolerances you can work within….
And then the comments about Rick talking too much about each shot! You think a video of a guy silently playing 18 holes of golf would get 205k views in 12 hours!?

Charley is a breath of fresh air. You can tell , apart from the fact she is a fantastic player , she is her own worse critic and she just hits the ball, no complaints, plays the cards she's dealt. No fuss. More of these videos with the tour players to see how they approach the game would be fantastic

What a great course…it looked stunning a few weeks after this with the heather in bloom….Not sure if Rick would have broken 80…the Old course is quite good from the purple tees and his driving was pretty poor…and he’d have bogeyed three of the short holes….
As soon as Rick neutrals out that swing path, he will be unstoppable.
