Probably the trick is to put it on at least half an hour before coming out to people, for the initial darker notes to subside and heart notes to become more prominent

Quality scent. Rare. And on me last 8+hours. Moderate projection.
I have the vintage version, although I'm not much into green scents I would give it a 9, it's very interesting and has an addictive quality, I have to sniff it every day, it starts dark green, transitions to a bit lighter but still deep and very aromatic complex green, pretty powerful smelling for the first hour, then calms down, also has medicinal quality, it's perfect for dentists or doctors, projects good for about two hours, but doesn't last long, although when sprayed on clothes the remaining sweetness lasts for days, can't stop sniffing my sleeve :)
I think that 2017 parfum version is the closest to the original one in terms of smell, but infortunately it is too heavy for me, so I stick with 1966 version)
does it have the extremely bitter vibe as Eau Sauvage Parfum (2012)?
I have the 2010 version (non magnetic cap) and that's really wonderful. Look forward to sampling this in a Duty Free or something to see how it's different.

Great review bro, I got my self a 2011 bottle a couple of years ago with the black paper box and the cap isn't magnetic! Does that mean it's a fake ?! pls let me know if you know.
The new reformulation did killed this nice scent such a pity! The original formula was really the extrem of eau sauvage edt now it smell like a bug spray! Great review they killed the original juice!
Thanks for saving me some € so I don't have to buy it. I'm happy with the 2012 Eau Sauvage edp version which smells better than I expected from the reviews - not oldschool, nor ubermature. I'm not even 40 and I can wear it as comfortably as Terre d'Hermes edp.

Now i want to give him this as a gift but its too expensive for me. could u plz make a video for eau sauvage cheap alternatives or any similar clone for it.

Do you really not buy based on a review? Everyone's tastes are so different. Just because it doesn't last on him or not his favourite you might love it. Take the risk, if you dont like it, sell it
Tastes are relative.. I love ES EDT the most, I like the Parfum but this Extreme version blew me away, it smells so good and smooth, for me it's the perfect ES for cooler weather and formal dressing; it does for me what the Parfum could never achieve because is too sweet and cloying. The Extreme is fresh, herbal, woody and balsamic. You should try sampling it.
