The first part of your health bar goes down faster. The first 40% of your health barely even matters; if Jam had been at 50% health, that wouldn't have KO'd. Something to do with Guts as well as how health is represented. Still big damage, just not as much as the health bar makes it seem.

What you're talking about is guts and defense modifiers. While you do have a point, we can still be surprised by that damage since jam wasn't a character capable of doing such high damage in the first place imo. Also guts and defense modifiers are different for every character, so for characters like dizzy, that 40% health does matter.

Snacks256 Yea but that was a 75% meterless corner combo without counter hit. Imagine if he RRC'D or used a burst super. All that from one card buffed attack. Jam is fucking real in Rev2.
