I first heard Pierre Grimes on the Jeffrey Mishlove show a couple of years ago. I didn't have the philosophical foundation to grasp many of his concepts, but i could appreciate they were coming from a high place.
His explanations of the One helped me get closer to what I was looking for.
I had no idea that he had passed.
    Thanks for the show

Seems like a man entirely dedicated to his work and teaching. Sad to see him go. Over and out.

Pierre needed a Series like the Power of Myth, but of course focusing on his thought and insights into Hellenism and Platonism. One episode could have been where he took off from Allan Watts, and Joseph Campbell. One episode could have been a continuation of Joseph Campbells work. Joseph Campbell (JC) is a huge phenomenon because he was presented to the public the right way.
Joseph Campbell drew upon Carl Jung's understandings as a cornerstone of his work. However, during Campbell’s time, Hellenic understanding was greatly contested, so he decided to leave much of Hellenism and Platonism alone. With the discoveries of Pierre Grimes, Campbell could have used Hellenic and Platonic thought as another significant cornerstone for his work.
For instance, Pierre Grimes recognizes that Plato’s work, "The Republic," is a form of mythology. Although Campbell was knowledgeable about Plato, he avoided engaging with the contentious academic debates surrounding Platonism in his era.

How can the Balboa's be contacted? A search is futile.
