Anyway, once they are close to filling all the positions, they will give a closing date. That’s often a weeks notice.

Initially, I’d applied for EPIK but my documents were late, some outstanding so I was pushed to the TaLK program.

Narrah N it depends who you work for. Different programs have offer different leave days. But private schools almost never get much time off. But I really don’t know much. EPIK you are given 22 days if I’m not mistaken and TaLK, 14 in a year. This is excluding special leave and maternity.

Hey, I applied via gold key and they told me to set a date for a Skype call to review the application, I did that and they haven’t responded. They were supposed to call me yesterday. Does this happen or should I just apply directly to EPIK?
Maria Molopo Goldkey Education is the best way that you could apply for both the TaLK and EPIK programs. They will do their best to set you up because alot could go and they help fix all your mistakes to ensure you are well prepared for the interview and secure the contract post passing the interview. They are also in SA which means you save when you have to courier your docs. You send to them in Cape Town and they send them to Korea which is alot more expensive. And there are ALOT of us that they are helping. So they may forget sometimes but they really do their best. So be on their case. Ask for a whatsapp contact so you can reach them better. But you have to keep reminding them cz they do slip sometimes. They are human.
And quick question, I'm going with TaLK and I don't have any teach experience , but I've been babysitting for 2 years now, do you think it's okay to ask one of the parents assist write one recommendation letter for me? The other recommendation letter, my lecturer is still working on it 😢
King Kaycee but just download the template and make sure to follow that because they need official stamps and letterheads... if they don’t have that. I would advice you ask another lecturer to write the letter for you.
