    Camels are the ships of the desert, look at how Allah created them fittingly for the environment they live in, Let's contemplate as Allah said in the holy Quran: "Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created?"
    subhan Allah, Camels truly show that we have a creator who created everything,
    -Camels have three sets of eyelids and two rows of eyelashes to keep sand out of their eyes.
    -Camels have thick lips which let them forage for thorny plants other animals can’t eat.
    -Camels can completely shut their nostrils during sandstorms.
    -Thanks to the one who gave it thick pads of skin on their chest and knees, camels can comfortably sit in very hot sand.
    -Their humps let them store up to 80 pounds of fat which they can live off for weeks and even months!
    -When a camel finally does find water, he can drink up to 40 gallons in one go.
    -Camels are very strong and can carry up to 900 pounds for 25 miles a day.
    -Camels can travel at up to 40 miles per hour - the same as a racehorse!

    • @benwot13

      U WUT M8? You got the F1 bit.. what about the horse racing one?

    • @tinglydingle
      @tinglydingle 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      U WUT M8? The point wasn't about technology, it was purely about money. he said "too much money in the wrong hands" (and incidentally has a F1 helmet as a profile picture) and I was asking why this sport was different from any other in this regard, so I'm afraid your comment is a bit pointless.

    • @OussamaErraji
      @OussamaErraji 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      U WUT M8? well thats true...but give them at least the breeding "skills"

    • @OussamaErraji
      @OussamaErraji 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Monkey My point is that this kind of sport is just a pure wasting money leisure with any kind of useful gain economic wise for the local society: who benefits today from the fastest camel? Bedouins in this BBC doc about arabia are shown to organize festivals to find out who is the best camel rider yet they don't spend millions in the process probably because they don't have any.
      F1 is a huge technology lab where lots of money are invested to make both racing cars and modern cars faster, more fuel efficient, more intelligent and safer....
      What i'm concerned about is what will these people do when eventually will oil wells dry up? Why don't they invest those millions in a smart way (eg. building factories) to both contribute to the country wealth and create a non-petrol non-finance related source of profit.
      Breeding and racing camels is by far easier and more interesting I guess.

    • @tinglydingle
      @tinglydingle 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oussama Erraji What they do when the oil runs dry is probably a national (and indeed international) concern and I concede that the trickle-down effect from F1 is a factor, even if it is relatively slow, but the point stands that there is no reason not to spend their money on this if that's what they enjoy. I personally like cycling, so I buy various bikes and bits and pieces for it that doesn't really benefit anybody else (economic externalities aside) but I'm not a bad person for doing that, and it's the same here. It may be true that the world could see more benefit if that money was used in a different way, but it's not the world's money, it's the individual's, and it's up to the individual to spend it as they choose. It's important to separate business from pleasure, pointing out that that money could have been spent on R&D or starving children in africa is a very one-dimensional way of looking at the world; people want to have fun.

      you do realise that camels are faster than horses and can stay for days or even weeks without refueling right?

    • @bishqueen5514
      @bishqueen5514 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Don't be fooled, camels are NOT faster. For a short sprint, quite possibly, they might be able to reach high speeds that a horse may reach, but any horse that is of any equal stature would outrun and out perform a camel. Camels are lazier creatures, whilst horses are much more willing to please and aid humans. The desert is easily the camels environment, though. Like you said they can last up to two weeks (up too, not always. That's the longest they could last) without water. On the other hand, it takes 3-4 days for a horse to konk out from water. Camels cannot hold as much weight as a horse, either. How do I know this? There's a petting zoo that owns 3 camels right by me and a good friend of mine works there. She takes care of the camels and they rarely do anything but walk and sleep haha.

    • @jibrilmahad5871
      @jibrilmahad5871 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Bish Queen wow! your friend has very little to no knowledge about camels. I am from Somalia and most people there keep camels for milk and social status. What do you think they us to carry stuff when they are moving. A camel can probably carry an entire horse bodyweight and even more without any trouble. Look it up on the internet.

    • @jibrilmahad5871
      @jibrilmahad5871 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bish Queen a camel can hold up to 450 LG but a horse can carry no more than 110kg. Case closed.
