Yes, they are in a serious financial crisis. They were playing 4 months without any payment, and as a gesture of dissatisfaction, they started loosing on purpose. In December they got paid 2 months salary and they got a draw and a win after that. The president promised them last week that before this match they were all getting paid the remaining months but he didnt keep the promise. Petit was doing a great job as a coach, he left by is own foot without asking any delayed payment. You have 2 or 3 players that truly love the club and are keep trying their best, but the rest of the team will keep loosing matches as a protest.
Just really look at the video again. There is no pressure in the defense, they dont even try to avoid and block the shots in the first 2 goals. Look the 3rd goal, the player opens space in the barrier on purpose. They will keep loosing until they all get paid.
With this, a lot of fans are canceling the annual dues and not going to the stadium. They could be fighting for an European competion, its really sad to see.

Boavista vende tiago morais por 4 milhoes, leiloa trofeus em hasta publica esta direção é uma vergonha à grande historia deste clube uma equipa que devia estar a lutar por lugares cimeiros presa no meio da tabela mais perto da despromoção do que da europa, tantas oportunidades de ouro desperdiçadas nestes ultimos anos e agora vende-se o futuro e o passado por um presente mediocre. Uma presidencia pátetica do senhor Vitor Murta que devia pedir desculpa á massa adepta e um fim apropriado para aquilo que foram os últimos 20 anos deste grande clube.
