What I see is a really high motivated guy who really loves what he s doing. Stay as you are man! It's incredible watching you how you share your fascination of math with your students. I'm studying Informatics on a University in Germany at the moment. The prof. is pretty old and you can feel, that there is no fire inside him anymore.. its great to see, that Math can be taught really interesting as well!

I don't know whether I am wrong or not. But I think sir, the answer is probably 1.5 unit square (-0.5+2), correct me if I am wrong. Aside from that, keep up your purpose of teaching math the interesting and interactive way. The world needs you.

HI, I think tha the difference between integrals has been calculated. NOT the surface under the line determined by the function.
You are substracting one surface form another, so youare getting the difference.

Isnt integration areas under a curve? Why shade the upper part of the curve when below the x-axis? Shouldnt be the area from 1 to 2 below the curve bounded by the y= -1? I am confused.

It's not just the area under the curve. It is the SIGNED area under the curve. Any portion of the graph that is under the curve is defined to have negative area.

    Amazing content, +1 Subscriber.
I have one doubt: I'm a Brazilian Student and I want to know from which school/university year is this content in The USA, because in Brazil, we start The university (Calculus 1) in limits and derivates.

Why not subtract integral from required area and haw result is 1/2 when obviously there is not straight line. Oh result is 1/2+C
