Yeah this is a thing I often wonder if many people realize or still consider. Meredith was completely altered as a character after Lexie’s death. There is a massive, marked difference between the way she was before and after Lexie’s death. She didn’t even change that much after Derek’s death (it definitely affected her, but it was just different with Lexie). Like a lot of the way she is now is because of Lexie dying. I wish the show would reference Lexie more, it kind of feels like the writers completely forgot about her, or wrote her out of the history.

What hurts the most is that Lexie also dying thinking Mark was fine, that he was going to be okay, and I know that if she... If she only knew that he was going to die too, that would crushed her heart. I don't know, after the plan accident, nothing was the same. Lexie and Mark dying was one of the worts things that I ever watched, and see Arizona changing so much... Jesus this hurts.
After the plane crash everything went down its so hard to watch it now. Or when George died the show got ruined. I want the old characters back, I miss the old greys.

Meredith didnt even know what was going on in Lexie s love life and thats sad.... They deserved better. I think they have done a much better job with her being sister with Maggie and Amelia.

I miss Lexie she was one of my favorite Characters and I related to her so much. She and Meredith had a rocky start but they bonded so much and Lexie made Meredith feel the love of a sibling that she never had growing up. And she and Mark never got their happy ending
I love their relationship. They were one if my favorite relationships. I also have a sister, and it made me cry when lexie died, she was mind, funny, smart, and bright, and she cared when Meredith didn't, until Meredith let her in.❤❤❤😭
To the people who say stuff like “I’ll never forgive the producers for blah blah blah “ you gotta understand that sometimes you need to see these deaths so you can appreciate the character so much more. The show wouldn’t be what it is if it took the cheap way out and kept every favorite on. Most of the time you don’t even realize they’re your favorite character till they’re dead or gone. I stopped watching after they killed Lexie, that death was too traumatic for me..(silly I know it’s a show, but it got me) Lexie and Meredith were the best underplayed sister relationship in tv history if you ask me. There was so much potential there to make amazing stories. I wish they’d been more focused on.. and when Chyler left if they’d just written her off peacefully lol it would have been awesome... Love these sisters!

One thing I loved about Lexie was how much of a good auntie she was to Zola. As an auntie myself, it was nice to see. Too sad Zola won’t know her or her father when she’s older😢
