    Love this series of truly capable Off Road trailer reviews. Only wish I had the $$$$$$ coin to afford both an Off Road and Road Queen trailer. You must have filmed this a few weeks ago when the weather was nicer. I live near this dealership and we've had a lot of snow on ground for the last couple of weeks. This is the perfect trailer for the rough terrain and the very cold and hot weather conditions out here in the West.

    I would add in your discussion about the strength of the frame, that it has. Two 6 inch steel box rails running the length of the frame. Additionally a 4 inch perimeter box steel framing. The frame is tabbed and slotted as well as welded. No other travel trailer frame on the market is built this strong! All connectors are rivet nuts! Just like the automotive industry!

    Beautiful! One question. How much EMF are you exposed to with the batteries and electrical components under the bed?

    • @johnvowell6348
      @johnvowell6348 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Batteries don't create an EMF issue. They are just a storage device. The most common information I've read and been told by installation experts is that if you plan on spending a lot of time near an inverter you want it to be at least 3 feet away. Lithium batteries under the bed is a good solution, especially since they don't operate well if cold. Placing the inverter in the basement, close to the batteries for efficiency, but three or more feet away from where you spend a lot of time, is the ideal set up. Inverters also get hot and require adequate ventilation.

    Love simple convenient stuff like that pullout pantry.
    The shoulder space to handle your business on the toilet seem pretty bad. You better do it fast.
    I love the fridge and freezer.
    Everything in this trailer is impressive but I have seen videos of people switching from Go Power to Victron due constant issues with their solar system.
    I would never choose an Airstream over these offroad trailers. These ate much more superior rig.
    Waiting for a review of a bunkhouse model if they have it.

    I like this. I wonder about reliability, though. RVs are known for having a laundry list of not so minor issues right off the sales floor, but if this co.pany builds them so well that that isnt the case, I'd rather spend $145k on this than $80k on one thay gives constant problems.

      @ROAOffRoad ปีที่แล้ว +3

      dragon Butt, You may not be aware but almost no RV in the industry does this. Most RVs will have 3-4 and even half dozen different keys. You can spend a million dollars on a Motor coach and it will have half a dozen keys. It is not a salesman trick. It is a nice detail that you don't see on almost any RV in the USA.

    • @Ameri-Texan
      @Ameri-Texan ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm sure he's a good dude, but I think the salesman is what's actually been rubbing me the wrong way on all these trailers in this series.

    • @johnvowell6348
      @johnvowell6348 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ignore the sales pitch and focus on the feature. It may not be something you would pay extra for, but from experience, I can tell you it's a nice little quality of life feature. Especially if you live in the trailer full time or use it a lot.

    • @dragonbutt
      @dragonbutt ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ROAOffRoad I am fully aware. Ive just worked in the industry for a hot minute and most of what ive come across is keyed a like, to the point that our salespeople oftentimes even forget to mention it. It is a selling point, yes, but it should be a standard. It should be expected.
      Come to think of it, its been a minute since i've come across any 2022 or 2023 trailer that doesnt just have the Global entry door keys and one compartment door set (a 751 or an R001 usually), or just the Global entry keys and genuinely are keyed alike. Usually its the motorhomes that have the four, five or six key sets.
      Besides theres and advantage to having an compartment door key or exterior compartment key, especially on an overlanding rig. Southco R001s and CH751s are readily replaceable and, usually, carried in bulk by dealerships and parts departments nation wide. So if you lose an entry door key or it breaks off in a lock, you ultimately just end up replacing a cylinder or door latch, and can still get in to the rest of your unit without having to replace all of those locks as well. Sometimes it can save your bacon if you're locked out but have front pass through storage that can be reached from under the bed.
      If you're worried about vagrants getting into your compartments because they use a readily available key that anyone can buy, be more worried about the fact that you can buy global master keys and red bauer passkeys for entry doors (which still work on deadbolts with a little jiggle action), as well as southco R001s and CH751s on amazon. Heck, you can get an entire set of trimarks for motorhomes off of amazon.
      God, the number of deadbolts i've had to jiggle open with a bauer passkey or global master key where i've worked because a customer lives hours away and doesnt know the difference between a latch lock and a deadbolt...
      Sorry just rambling about the industry. Gotta love it!

    • @BigTruckBigRV
      @BigTruckBigRV  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pioneers didn't drag them down the road at 70mph Nor did they have plumbing, electrical, houseware, and other amenities. Also, they didn't go very far without breakdowns at 5mph. So yes, this can do 1,000,000 times better.

      X195 base model without any upgrades to solar, etc. is $142,500. A first rate mule team and overland wagon built for the Oregon trail cost about the same in the 1800's when adjusting for inflation.
