Thank you so much. This is very encouraging!
You are very welcome, so glad you finished this episode feeling encouraged!
I really appreciate this Sonya. Quick question,. What is considered a geography lesson before 7-year-old?
This is a great question, Goldie. Here is a post that may help you in this area: simplycharlottemason.com/blog/teaching-geography-subject-by-subject-part-4/ as well as we use our "Visits To" geography resources to teach these lessons to our children and these are designed for grades 1-12: simplycharlottemason.com/store/visits-to-geography-series/
The sheer number of subjects makes me feel so stressed out.
Yes me too. I have to rotate the variety by season or blocks otherwise I feel like I'm juggling more than I or my kids can handle.
I also don't know how to keep my lessons short especially when it's a hands on activity or with my son who takes a while to get and stay focused due to what I believe is ADHD... And trying to balance 3 kids.
@@zmommy4044 That sounds like a good strategy. I’m just trying to add in one thing at a time and loop things in. My little one gets so into readings we go long in that area. I cannot live by a timer 🙂
@@Dreblueskies yes that is one we go long with too but if they're enjoying it and we are bonding then I guess that is good, right? Thanks for sharing what you do
Thank you for sharing this insight and you certainly are not alone. I also want to know a way ahead when presented with an idea that is a bit more unfamiliar to me or overwhelming.
Sonya, you are a breath of fresh air! Other CM teachers say you have to do exactly like Charlotte! But CM wasn't a momma with toddlers and babies in the mix. Your reminder to make it work for your own family is so helpful!
So glad that you have found these videos helpful in practically implementing Charlotte Mason's methods into the reality of your home!
