Ouch. Poor research. Yes, if you convert currency the Tundra is equivalent to $90-95k AUD, but it’s not purely “markup”…..it’s also our stupid luxury tax of 33% on vehicles over $80k. So 33% on top of $90k, brings the price to $120k. Then include cost of conversion & Australia being a small market for this sized vehicle , Toyota is probably making $10k out of your “markup”. Rant over, haha. I’m a fan of the RAM 1500, so it’s good to see something similar from Toyota in this space. Let the competition begin!
All these remanufactured trucks are great way burn cash if you are struggling to spend it. Image paying twice the price of any normal UTE for the inconvenience of owning this road whale.
One for the Toyota fanboys for sure. A pity they didn’t take the opportunity to re-position the switches on the dash. Maybe they are still using the original wiring loom and it wouldn’t work. I’d be surprised though if they did use the original loom.
This thing is insanely expensive amid the Toyota v6 engine drama in the states, will see how it goes in the Aussie market

So hard to watch with the presenter taking with his hands.
Italians can’t communicate without using their hands. Maybe he’s Italian!
