Good and simple drama. Handsome and bold Ml and pretty and confident Fl with good chemistryand good storylines. It is shameful how some people cater to the rich and look down on and mistreat those who are not! I loved how He Cheng loved and protected SuTang from all bullies and fought for his love for her with his own mother. It was satisfying that He Cheng and SuTang's relationship survived so many attempts to keep them apart. I loved that they later found each other and were happy with their twins. Charming to watch.
I was amazed with this drama.. How the male lead defends his lady is highly appreciated. The two of them have both good looks. This story portrays a pure love.

The story was good but the reason for leaving and divorcing if in real life is not reasonable and it's considered wrong for the children especially it is their important years to build a good bond with their family.
I agree that the reasons given in dramas are usually not reasonable, but in real life it is 100% not good for the kids to stay married in a bad marriage just for the sake of the children having two parents in the same house.
Unfortunately you have decided to believe the ridiculous lie that a woman should stay with an abusive man “for the children”. This man violently raped her and imprisoned her and you think that’s a sign of love?! That God the children did not have this monster of a father in their lives in their young years. I just hate that she goes back to him in the end with him doing literally nothing to apologize or atone or show that he has changed at all!
This is not unheard of. Do you not see the news about child abductions this often the scenario. Also even if they are separated or divorced unless specifically stated the other parent has rights to access the child at any time.
I agree. Apart from the weird shrine which seemed to be more of a prop for a catalyst to leave. It was there but he couldn't have been spending long periods of time wallowing there because she found it more from hearsay than his interaction with the room apart from it being locked. Nothing he did during the bulk of their relationship had to do with the ex. He didn't insist she must like the ex's favorite food, or dress her the same, etc like I have seen in other dramas. Yes, he had some initial connection based on appearance but from then on he seemed to want to know her as herself not putting expectations of someone else on her. The pic didn't really seem to be her doppelganger either.

Any other actions don't come across as her reason to leave in that moment. It has been enough time that I didn't recall but quickly scanning through the movie the imprisoning comes after her leaving him because of the shrine and doubts of being a substitute, etc. Basically I only commented that the shrine was a bit stupid and seemed unnatural in the story.

I’ve seen this drama done by other crews with other actors but the script verbiage is nearly identical. If you’ve seen the others there is no need to watch this one. Why bother to eat leftovers for weeks? One of the most ridiculous love arcs I’ve ever seen is the pitiful male who can’t get over his dead long lost love. Any woman who falls for that and then marries will live a pitiful life. She will always question herself and her identity. Does he really love her or was he obsessed with the past love and so desperate to keep her shadow he’ll do anything to keep it around? Even the the madly I love with the ex who left the country and she comes back is ludicrous to me. Are all women that sad in love? Then why even bother? Live for yourselves sweethearts. Don’t live in another woman’s shoes, they will always pinch your feet.

The ending WAS rushed. It never forced him to apologize or atone for his sins, never forced him to work for his second chance, never force him to show that he regretted his actions. These twins were born of him RAPING her and apparently he doesn’t think he was wrong at all. He doesn’t deserve a happy ending after all he did (and allowed his evil mother to do). The fact that he lets his mother off the hook is horrible but he himself doesn’t take accountability for his own sins.
Both the leads were wrong because they did not communicate with each other and that led to their stupid breakup and separation for so many years. The fl was too jealous but at the same time I understood her emotions. First, she is hated by the ml family and there is always the evil mistress trying to separate them with all kinds of innuendos and even after knowing all these, the ml never took any concrete actions against her or his own mother who arranged to gangrape his own son's wife. The worst one was that he kept a secret locked room where he kept his ex photos and things as a sacred and beloved memories. Who will not misunderstand this type of actions. It is better to run away from this type of person as far as possible. Who wants to be someone's substitute. Not me in a thousand years.
