Thank you so much for this video, I intend to do this on my solar tuna (red and white bezel) to class it up a bit. Then I won't have to buy a "baby tuna" to achieve the same look. Thanks from a fellow Singaporean.
Thank you so much for dropping by. Always good to have another fellow SG watch kaki. The baby tunas, solar or not, are much smaller. So if you need something like 43 or 38mm, I guess they are better choices. Otherwise, you will be very happy with this simple swap on the SNE solar tuna.
I recently purchased a replacement shroud and noticed that when I screw down the shroud, it's too tight the bezel won't turn. Is this the case with your Tuna's shroud as well? I slightly loosened the screws, and the bezel turns, but I'm worried about the screws falling out since they're not all the way screwed down.
i actually ordered one last night. taking the slight gamble in quality before possibly going all in for the yobokies, but of course hopefully not. thank you so much. this review did help a lot in my decision. have a great weekend! by the way, you sound a lot like the guy from GFWatch.@@AndyinSG
Nice video, absolutely love your marinemaster professional 300m Tuna, and that the second hand hits the minute marks on the chapter ring accurately. Love the new stainless steel shroud, it looks so much better than the black plastic shroud. Do you mind saying where you got the stainless steel shroud from?
Thanks for dropping by. I'll put the link in the video description too. thewatchkaki.com/517 I agree with you on the new steel shroud. It makes the watch look much better. Definitely staying.
Beg your pardon? I don’t quite understand your question. If you’re asking if doing this will affect water resistance, no it will not. This mod is just changing out the outer shroud.
Wow looks very luxurious with the new shroud.
I’m liking the look. It’s staying for sure.

Hello again. Any idea where I could find a stainless steel (not black) crown for the SNE518?
Amazing. Thank you for sharing your experience. I will definitely try!
Thanks for dropping by. Try it. You may like the result. But remember not to lose the stock part!
Brilliant video, thank you. I have now done the shroud replacement and it looks great. I just wonder if I should paint the black winder silver ....
Thank you so much!
That looks so much better. I'm hoping they have a black shroud for the golden tuna.
They do. A black shroud would look great on the gold accented one!

That’s not the case with the shroud shown in this video. I tightened the shroud and the bezel clicks nicely.
Any idea where one might acquire a sapphire crystal for the SNE518 (that will mail to the US)? Crystal Times doesn't carry one...
Try WR Watches.
will that steel shroud fit the Arnie re-issue? Thanks!
No it doesn’t. They have different openings and such. But I believe there are aftermarket replacement shrouds for Arnie Reissue.
@@AndyinSG thanks a bunch! Will look into those for sure
have you tried comparing that shroud with the one from yobokies? really want one but finding the yobokies too expensive.
Haven’t tried that one. I would think YBK will have better quality. I have bought from them in the past and always got good products and service.
thanks! really need your help. but would you say that shroud you have there could have been better? or is it actually good enough?@@AndyinSG
