      personally I don't like to wear a suit, tie, hat. But if I need it I prefer more discreet, dark colors. What I really like to wear is hiking boots and pants, Indian-hippie style kurtas in shorter lengths and a thicker textured sweater in dark shades of green or gray

      I think that asian men go along damn good with a lot of different colours! I have friends with vietnamese roots and japanese roots and they rock almost all colours! They have a certain flair that allows them to be extra creative but in an elegant way. For example my friends have very sharp hair cuts, nice full dark hair and sometimes they wear blue or red suits and it looks daaamn nice!! I think also black people look much better with a bigger range of colours. Black guys in golden or white suits, its simply amazing!!

    When I had COVID-19 last winter, I binged watched Brian's videos. This popped up in my newsfeed today, and it reminded me how this channel helped take my mind off of how sick I was and reminded me there was life after covid if I was lucky enough to live through it. I won the recovery lottery, and I am grateful to TH-cam and this channel for giving me something to do other than worrying.

    Hey Brian - loved coming across this episode (I'm only 1 year late! lol). I am officially obsessed with Pitti after a weekend of extensive YT videos learning more about what it. I now want to attend when it's safe to do so - it looks awesome! If nothing else, just to be able to be around so many like minded gents who love classic fashion like we do. It's almost like a Sartorial Mecca of sorts. haha We just don't have enough opportunities in the US to wear suits as our fashion norm becomes more and more uber casual. Not that I NEED a reason to wear a suit, but how fun would it be to be around so many folks who actually prefer to dress this way on the daily? Question for you: have you ever been? How cool would it be to have a destination meet-up at Pitti for us He Spoke guys? :-)

    Love the Pitti reviews :) I have a watch question: don't you regret the loss of the Genta DNA in the more recent Ingenieur line-up? I feel like letting go of the Genta design was one of the worst decisions ever made by a watch brand given how good it looks and how relevant it is today. Would love to hear your thought on this especially since you own a recent Ingenieur.

    • @hespokestyle
      @hespokestyle 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Personally, I like this one. It's more of a tribute to the 1955 original than the 1976 Genta version, which is fine with me. I think it makes it a little more versatile than if it had the screws on the bezel. More dressy, less sporty in a way. Recommend checking out this video I did a little while ago on the watch: th-cam.com/video/G2bRgZ0DafY/w-d-xo.html

      Not really a fan. Quality is mid/low level. Some of the detailing is too trendy for my tastes--lapels too narrow on jackets, collars too small on shirts, fit a bit too slim. You might find a good piece here and there, but that would be the diamond in the rough. Just going on what I remember seeing over the years.

    Hello Brian,
    For some reason, some of these styles don't speak to me. Do you think that, fashion/style enthusiasts tend to have a very different taste than non-fashion/style people? I.e. certain styles might only look good inside the fashion community, but actually look weird and out of place outside of it.

    • @hespokestyle
      @hespokestyle 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not all of them have to. I would say that some of these looks are definitely more "advanced" in that there are things that someone with a very basic style who's maybe a little afraid to branch out might not like. I would draw a very marked distinction between fashion and style here though. None of these looks are "fashion" at all. With the exception of the final look, they're all relatively grounded in classic menswear. I understand some of these things might be a little bold for some, but to each their own.

    • @mach5m
      @mach5m 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrDukeSilverr Thank you for your responseI & I agree to an extent that feminine 'influence' as you call you on Men's Fashion is fine if it were done simply to add flair to mens fashion & I can absolutely understand your viewpoint and why you hold if if it were as simple as that which you stated on the surface it is simple -- but my objection to the concept is in resistance to what I believe to be the underlying AGENDA behind it -- So I must also add (with all due respect) that simply because you don't see a problem.. does not automatically mean no problem exists... The topic I am going to broach here is likely beyond the scope of a fun mens fashion discussion and it only to be revealed to those who are aware of such exoteric (occult) agendas at work in our society -- by that I mean the willful attempts by the Controllers of Western Society to ERASE GENDER and create a genderless society -- as in a UNIFORM (one-form) state of confusion -- why would they do that you ask -- for the purposes of GLOBAL DEPOPULATION -- who are some of the 'controllers of western society' who wish this to be the case -- those who are pushing for a skynet - Automation led Robot controlled Human depopulated world -- well they these individuals are the financially economically and/or politically powerful or influential Individuals who have expressed that that is their desired state for the world -- people such as UK's Prince William who believes their are too many people on the planet as he has stated (then he goes and has not 1 but TWO children) and people who desire Depopulation such as Bill Gates as he has impleid or directly stated -- The Feminine-ization of Men's Fashion & the Masculine-izaton of Women's Fashion are tied into the same Concept of What IS a Male and A Female -- (Why would the creator create Two Genders with different Biological and PHYSICAL imperatives ) thats for you to think about I won't try to answer that Q here -- as Men become more effeminate and women become more Masculine -- it is the will full attempt to create Gender Confusion Why would they want that -- the answer (again) is too complex for this discussion but I will give some hints its because of their understanding of the physical and metaphysical -- A man & a women represent 2 aspects of the Atom in this Electrical world -- the Man the Proton or the Active principle -- The Female the Electron or the 'Negative' Receptive principal (Electrical Sockets are designed after the Creators Design of Man & Woman) and like the Electrical Socket - The Electrical Socket The Coupling of Man and Woman creates an Electrical Charge which has the potential to create LIFE -- since these Controllers are Anti-LIfe they favor creating men & women who DO NOT CHARGE electrically and therefore cannot create life (witness falling birthrates amongst various Global racial societies but I digress) I DO understand that the Fashion Industry is largely Homosexual and that is fine if the folks designing the clothes are Homosexual and have interests in blurring the lines behind what is 'Male Fashion' and what is 'Female Fashion' -- if they are doing that simply being fun and playful then so be it have at it .. I don't want to wear Women's clothes but there are those who do -- And although my answer is already wild enough putting Women into pants PERIOD was at the start of creating Gender-Confusion Feminism and the ensuing ongoing Gender-War -- and in reality if you have a knowledge of the biology Women wearing Pants has an adverse affect on the health of the women's vaginal area -- Clothes are not merely clothes but serve particular usefule(or in some cases detrimental functions) . My problem with Men carrying purses is not with an individual man choosing to carry a purse (have at it) my problem -- is with the Dangerous and deadly and Genocidal desires behind the agenda of pushing a Genderless society let me be clear I don't have a problem with some individual choosing to be Homosexual as I do believe in free choice -- What I object to is the subliminal mind-control aspect of pushing Homosexuality and Genderless Society on the Global Family for the purposes of killing procreation and creating confusion -- Those with Evil Intents thrive in a realm of Confusion -- So bear in mind what I am trying to 'Conserve' is not Men's Fashion per se -- But what I am trying to Conserve as you are insinuating I am Conservative - What I am interested in Conserving is human life on this planet as opposed to the SkyNet /Matrix world that the ppl who meet at Davos and the G7 /G8 Conferences and The United Nations (see Agenda 21) are trying to create -- I hope my reply/answer helps -- :) Cheers.

    Not so sure on your choices. At 4:20 guy in brown coat should have better shoes and shorter sleeves.The guy at 6:18 has an awful shirt collar; all wrinkled. The size fitting of his jacket is too tight and he is earring wide pants.

    I do not like Shuhei's style at all. Most of his clothes and styling is so-called "do-it-too-much," wearing too much accessories, etc. and seem to me "out of place" and "affected," which I believe is the worst kind of way to style your clothes, whatever type of clothes you're wearing. No matter how polite s/he behaves in such clothes, they end up sending wrong signals unconsciously.
    In this picture, wearing sunglasses in fall/winter clothing ruins everything and betrays his affectation as obviously sunlight will never be intense enough to justify wearing sunglasses in Japan, and plus our Japanese brown eyes are resistant to strong summer sunlight even. Even if I count out his job as a fashion director that he has to do it as part of his job, not out of his free will, I do not believe he is successful taking advantage of the atmosphere and beauty each item of his clothing inherently gives out.
