I know this post is old, but I am just seeing this. Based on the title, I watched it because I thought there was some quality issue with the bag and this interested me as recently bought the small YSL Loulou Puffer in Dark Beige. I was relieved that the issue was that it didn’t coordinate with what you wear. I respect the fact that this bothers you. But, I love this bag….whether it coordinates with what I wear or not. For me, it is function first and this bag is the perfect size. And, so gorgeous! I want to add I am not a “clothes horse” nor do I hold myself out to be one of those people who dresses where everything has to coordinate. Like you, I dress pretty casual. What I am trying to say is I think people over analyze things. If I like the bag, I don’t care if it goes with everything. Maybe I should, but there are too many other things in life to worry about. A bag matching my outfit isn’t one of those worries. Btw, you are very pretty and you are one of those people who could wear sweatpants, a designer bag and still look great! Its a lovely color and i have it. I wear it with jeans, leggings, dresses, casual wear, going out for weekend. The size isn't appropriate for dressier usage but the color is versatile for both summer and winter as its light color for summer & beige along with puffer style also goes well with winter clothes. Having said that, glad you were able to sell it and get a bag you're happy with.
Just like you I had been heavily influenced by Chasing Amie with my decision to get the ysl puffer small in beige. She just wears it so well! And just like you I have been having a difficult time wearing/styling the bag. I think the size is awkward for me as well as the colour. Had I bought the medium in black, or the toy in beige I think it would’ve suit me better.
Those are all very good points that you raise and I considered all of those as well when I decided to purchase a preloved medium puffer in black with SHW. I plan to use it for work and travel and I do feel like it can be styled with casual clothing, ie leggings/jeans. Having said that, I hedged by getting it preloved at a price well below retail. I do love the style, including the juxtaposition of casual-fancy vibes that it gives. I would not wear this bag for a night out or a fancy affair, but I do think that it elevates casual day to day wear nicely. I too dress very casual on a day to day basis.

I think the color is just too light but the bag is gorgeous … you could wear it with jeans if it was black or a darker color . I don’t think you have to dress them up at all .
I really wanted to find a YSL bag i liked but the colours are just a little weird and so are their sizing its close but for that price i want it to be perfect.
I like the small puffer in beige and white also but I cannot seem to be able to include it in my personal style either. It just looks out of place wether I’m wearing leggings or jeans or a dress :(
I cam there thinking that its about wear and tear of puffer bag. This video is more about your style not working with puffer bag. Plz hint that in heading.

I guess sometimes I work it the other way around... I try to match the outfits which suit me and the bag.
