    The most underrated diff in the industry. I have them in my full-size Blazer (swapped semi-float 14 bolt rear axle because the stock 10 bolts are dangerously weak). Highly recommend...

      Lmao wut the Dana 30 and Dana 44 is a killer setup however a Dana 30 and Dana 35 is something else unless you super the 35

    I wheeled a mildly built TJ all over Moab with a Detroit TruTrac in the Dana 35 and never failed to climb an obstacle (Fins & Things, Hell’s Revenge, Poison Spider, Top of the World, Seven Mile Rim, including Wipeout Hill). I now have a Spartan locker in front to go with the TruTrac and despite the 31” tires, she just goes and goes.

    👍 only thing left is a little more bite in the tires

    Love it...just installed true tracs front and rear of my TJ with 4.11 gears in october. Then engine started knocking on christmas eve :(. Keep the offroading vids coming.
    Update: New Engine installed...300 miles and no issues. Truetracs great during tuesdays small ice storm.

      How many miles have you put on your trutracs? I have a 9.25/D44 truck with 3.55. I'm looking at going trutrac front and rear 4.11, same as you, just in a half ton dodge. Curious how they have held up over the year you've been running them.

    I really enjoy mine so far, I debated lockers but my 4x4 shop suggested the truetracs front & rear instead based on how I wheel vs daily driving. So far from the tails I have done and regular roads (all weather conditions) they have been great.

      Ever get your wheels off the ground? If so, does the brake application trick work to get you going again? Been torn between lockers and trutrac myself.

    • @robp418
      @robp418 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joashtunison351 I had one in the front of my tj and it had trouble if I had a tire in the air. Swapped in a Yukon grizzly locker and the difference is insane. The trutrac would be fine for most people, but on really hard trails it isn’t enough.

    • @jaylen8822
      @jaylen8822 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joashtunison351 Go with the TruTrac. If you have one tire stuck in the air, a light application of the foot pedal brake while giving it some gas will cause the TruTrac to transfer power to the wheel on the ground (and the wheel in the air, it acts like a full locker). Have one installed in my 2000 GMC Yukon and went to hit some trails, I literally didn’t need 4WD. It was freaking insane. The TruTrac was digging and chewing through everything. The truck was shaking so violently when i crawling through sand I thought I was going to brake something or get stuck. Nope. These things are amazing, HIGHLY recommend. TruTrac will turn your vehicle into a beast.

    I'm planning Truetracs front and rear on my 2013 JKU (non rubi, obviously). Prefer them to lockers for my style of wheeling. Expecting them to complement the stock BLD very well and still provide good steering control and manoeuvrability (that lockers don't!).

    Dana 35 or 44? I know factory for the X is a 35. I'm curious if the 35 held up ok. I have an 04' with a 35 and I'm looking at my options

    • @giovanigonzalez7623
      @giovanigonzalez7623 ปีที่แล้ว

      The dana 44 is better in every way, unless you just want a daily driver. Dana 35s are not known to be good axle, especially for offroad usage. Now finding a dana 44 may be challenging and if you find one it'll be expensive

    • @jameshinkle3318
      @jameshinkle3318 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Dana 35 holds up fine with the TruTrac and 31s. 35s might give you some trouble due to weight but with chromoly shafts and a judicious throttle foot you would be fine.

    • @MarkJones-sk6vk
      @MarkJones-sk6vk 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Truetrac wont lock. A locker will keep the wheels spinning at the same speed regardless of available traction. The truetrac needs some friction to engage.
