Ok, I definitely have a problem. This is now one of my favorite songs. I keep thinking "I want to listen to Scarlet" and then a few notes in it just gives me that sinking feeling similar to the final song of an anime series where they just put a little more emotion in and it has that "it's all over" tinge to it. It's beautiful, I don't know why it has this impact on me though to the point of it being hard to listen to without feeling sad.
Oh yay! I'm not the only one feeling that tugging of the heart strings! I've been feeling this song doesn't get enough attention. All the other guys' songs in fact feel like people show more love. I love all DMMD music, but Koujaku's especially this one, are often my favorites.
Every boys just have their own themes for their songs (not mentioning the bad ending theme). For Koujaku, it's the feeling of something faint and sweet, a warm and relaxed feeling on a morning of a spring day. For Clear, you feel the gentleness, love with calm feeling and trust. For Mink, it's the strengh, the soul. For Noiz, you can feel the future in the song full of joy and hope. And for Ren, the modern-ish, chill and happiness :)
The music, emotion, and sheer enjoyment I had playing this route is what makes Koujaku my number one favorite route (alongside Ren). It could be a lot of the cheesiness and childhood friend cliches but the way this route was able to warm my heart way more than the others...I love it so much❤🌺
I know there's something about Itou's voice in particular that tugs at my heart. Makes even the happy endings seem a little heartbreaking. Scarlet is the hardest for me, it has this beauty, but also this grandness and finality sound to it (definitely sounds like one of those special end to the series songs).

im assuming when whoever wrote it did, they didnt listen to the song while doing so because some of the kanji in the lyrics can have different pronounciations “hi/akari” or “yukeru/ikeru” it has the same meaning just different ways to say it. but theres also simple things like changing shinjimi to shinjiru (shinjimi doesnt mean anything in japanese) and putting some words together like “hanasa nai” to “hanasanai” (separating them would be like writing “i wo nt let go” smth like that)
