Something I recently learned about this show, the title "Sousou no Frieren". The word sousou usually means to bury/send off, but it can also meaning killer/one who ends. At first, you believe its only because she out lives all her friends and sends them off but in this episode we learn the real reason shes called Frieren the Slayer
something to lookout for ,there are little hints in the dialogue that help with world building , its done in a subtle way sometimes not during action scenes so its easy to miss but keep that in mind. this show does a really good job with multiple characters, so even though the main cast is amazing its best to keep an open mind to what other characters are saying, including demons. love your reaction guys, you guys are a cute couple
One of Fern's special abilities is concealing her mana. Flying expends mana, but she's still able to remain undetected. It was only when she cast her attack spell that she was detectable. She's literally a stealth fighter.
Ini Germany Himmel means Heaven or Sky :) So when Frieren said their goal was to go to heaven it was the same as going to see Himmel 😭💔 Oh also, Aura and the other demons became active again 28 years ago to coincide with Himmel's death. Bro scared them
25:45 “Was (Fern) able to hide her mana or something? Mask it?” You could deduce it as such. Remember even from the first episode, Frieren had trouble locating her when she was just a child because she was able to control her mana output. In the second episode, she was able to tail Frieren around town undetected by Frieren. Not only that, but Fern’s mana detection is upper class too. Whenever Frieren tries to sneak around, Fern is able to detect her, like in this episode. Fern is definitely a prodigy. ^_^
I think her being this good at hiding her mana and the fact that she's a prodigy is somewhat unrelated. I don't want to further discuss it in case they actually read these comments, but we know the reason she's so good at hiding her mana and it kinda implies that any one could do so as well.
@@Triattt In episode one, Frieren commented to herself that it took a lot of skill for Fern to hide her mana like that, and wondered just how hard she trained to be that good. In the second episode, Frieren told Heiter that she learned so much in 4 years what it would take others much longer, normally. Either this means she’s a prodigy or that she’s a hard worker or extremely determined and dedicated, or a combination of all three. Of course, I’m only speculating myself as I’m not a manga reader, but from comments like that by Frieren herself, you could argue that Fern could be a prodigy.
@@wrexgrafix84 I'm anime only as well. I'm hinting at a further development we get on a bit later on, on why she had already trained that skill by the point Frieren met her. We know she's a prodigy for many reasons, and people recognizing her as such, I'm not dismissing that at all. I'm only saying that in my head I didn't connect that skill with her innate talent. The characters seem to imply that that particular skill is very time consuming hence not usually pursued.
@@Triatttyou're correct. They repeatedly say how nobody else trains to suppress their mana because it's cowardly. She's been training to suppress it for most of her life, while most never try.
Ah we love to hear that! Glad you enjoyed our reaction 💙 We actually have no set posting day rn because life is crazy busy lol but we’ll be posting double episodes going forward at least once a week 😁
4:54 wait oh my god I never made that connection myself, that's so sweet!! 😭🥺💘 man I love Himmel 24:30 speaking of Sukuna I wonder if you guys noticed Lugner and Sukuna have the same voice actor
Himmel is the sweetest! His moments on screen are some of our faves 😭 And we did not know that! Just looked up the VA and we would’ve never guessed these characters he plays lol (but we’re bad at recognizing VAs ngl 😅)
"stronger then me?"
"stronger then your boss boss"
🥶
Remember when you guys said this was a slice of life 😅, Frieren isn’t a show you can categorize, it has it all.
You ain’t lying! Wasn’t expecting it to have a bunch of genres in the mix lol
Yeah
It's a slice of life plus adventure plus romance plus action plus fantasy
Now this can pretty much suffice Frieren .😂

@JACpotatos well actually it means to bury, that's why it's a play on words

@@SxSReacts if you already watch ep 11, then Kraft's VA is the same as Toji from JJk.
I can't wait when you watch episode 9 & 10 .
u guys need to watch double episode.. just 9 wouldnt be enough...need 10 too....
When u realize Lord Lugner is Sukuna's VA
Beware Aura, Death is in the air.
Lugner is voiced by the same VA as Sukuna
None of the people who have dealt with demons are around anymore for various reasons and the elves don't really go around teaching people about them.
Just wondering, do you guys recognize Lügner's voice?
We didn’t! But we just saw someone else say he voices Sukuna too 🤯 that’s wilddd, would’ve never guessed lol
Didnt want to come off as weird but i have to say you have a very beautiful wife🫰❤🤧
